Ha! That just made my day. Nice wrench...id recommend painting it some neon color, so you don't lose it before you need it again later down the road.
Thanks!
Planning to drill the handle, shape it, then coat it in plasti-dip. I am making its brother over the weekend which grabs the bolt heads on the pulley behind it for easier removal than a big screwdriver
My daughter and I took a foliage ride in the white crew cab, with our pups, Uma and Mitzy.
We cruised the backroads, did some super light wheeling down some one lane roads through the woods and took a small hike to check out the fall colors from the top of Prospect Rock.

Sounds like a nice day. The only fall colors we get here are mostly brown.
Got the new trans put in the truck this last week, and installed a Derale deep cooling pan. Anyone have any input on how important it is to have the in-line bypass installed with the auxiliary fan cooler from the factory? The truck never had a valve, and I'm curious whether that needs to change, so that I get the longest life out of the new trans.
Beyond that, It seems I've sprung a coolant leak under the thermostat housing. I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst... I may be doing a head gasket here shortly. No coolant in the oil, and negative combustion leak tests, so if anything it's an external leak.
From what I can see, I'd guess it's just the thermostat housing. I usually put a very light coating of RTV on the housing and both sides of the lifting bracket.

I agree. First couple of times into the t-stat, I put in third party stuff and relied on the "seal" provided. Last time in I put in a genuine Cummins stat and sealed it with "blue". No leaks and stable temps since.

Cummins stats just seem to last so much longer than the aftermarket
Sigh, you're probably not using 100% antifreeze. Don't need a thermostat that way. Just smear NOS mopar axle grease on the housing before install with no seal and fuhgeddabowdit!
