Today I got my 2nd Gen radiator mounted to my 89 core support in my 73.... Kinda feel like Johnny Cash (one piece at a time)

Seems to be a lot of that around lately...

Pulled my vibration damper off today, and cleaned up the crank mounting. While I was there I pulled the idler pulley off, cleaned out the belt grooves and backside of the pulley / idler mount for a cleaner fit. Needed the barring tool in the adapter plate to crack the bolts without removing the radiator.

New VD is going on today, and for anyone who needs the torque spec, they're attached.

VD 92 FTLBS
Idler pulley 7 FTLBS

Just from lots of "hands on" towing experience. Having the trailer loaded with not enough tongue weight is a bad thing. The tail wagging the dog is what I call it and it is not a cool feeling.

Ya, the concept changes with duals. You don't need any tongue weight due to the increased tire:asphalt ratio. Unless they're too large for a given wheel and bulging, then the problem is compounded

Word is that Kim Kardashian was driving her new hummer the other day after too many drinks... hence the fake robbery. Had to pay for her hubby's paint job...

I managed to stuff a 2nd Gen radiator and intercooler behind my early 70's grill...still have to get some tabs welded on the intercooler tomorrow and paint everything. It's a REALLY tight fit, I see now why so many guys switch to the 91-93 front end.

Did a cleaning inspection and resealing from top to bottom on my 1993 D250 Donor Engine.

Main changes were new gaskets top to bottom including Head Gasket, 60 lb valve springs and Valve Seals, KDP killed, & New Injectors. Odo Showed 500K +

Repainted it original OEM cummins Bluke, but went with Bracket Black for the Valve Covers.

Before:

After:

Still have a lot to do. As a recap, plan is to put this with an A518 in the '73 in my Sig.

A/c condenser as well ??

I was under the impression that a/c would make it impossible to fit

Love those early grilles . bird bath hood next ?

Only 500,000. On it ? Should last another 1m before you need to do any more heavy work, eh ?

Stock injectors or upgrade ?
