Installed a new Cummins thermostat and AC Delco water pump. Didn't know AC Delco made Cummins parts but it got pretty high reviews so what the heck.
Also pulled the radiator back out and acid cleaned it one more time and then flushed everything real good and put new HD Diesel coolant in it.
Truck was running just a little hotter than I remember and would heat up slightly climbing hills on the freeway but all seems back to normal now.
Thanks to whoever posted the sticky to replace the gears and to white face the gauges and paint the needles all fluorescent orange again! Also replaced all the guage backlighting with new LED's! I think it turned out awesome. Oh and **** retentive me was able to clean the 25+ years of nasty behind the dash bezel! Now for the new stereo and thumper speaker and amp stuff!
ARG, I just did this and must have awoken an angry electrical gremlin, because now I am trying to figure out why my hazard fuse keeps blowing. Looks great btw. I just cleaned things up and used green LEDs.
Rotated the fuel pin to the deep side and did the 1/8" timing bump this morning, but still fighting a brake issue, so that is on the agenda for tomorrow
Changed upper radiator hose as it started dripping and ordered 2 Cooper Discoverer HT3 E rated tires for the front. Always been a Michelin man but these look very good too so will give them a try.

I actually did this back in January. We live in heavily wooded area, lots of trees with crap falling from them year round! Before the truck went to body shop i cleaned out the cowl boxes and the kick panel vent as best I could with the fenders on the truck. They were full and the AC would suck leaves and trash thru the vents sometimes impaling them in your face. So I purchased some fiberglass screen material at the local hardware store and went about fastening to metal cowl panel. Gorilla glue was the best and fastest solution. So just wanted to share the pics of how i went about it. Works really well! Layout Material Trim side at angle first and secure with masking tape Closeup of trim and secure Glue. Remember Gorilla glue expands. Mindful not to use too much but can trim excess when dry. Next Day - trim and hold snug and flat with clamps and refrigerator magnets.
I was coming home from work today, and I spotted a white '91-'93 Club Cab Dualy Cummins....he had his arm out his window with a thumbs up quicker than I had mine out!
Over the past week I finally got the customized crossmember finalized and the transfer case in. I filled both the transmission and transfer case with the appropriate fluids and started the truck for the first time since June. I was very pleased when it started up quick as ever. It was rather noisy as I am waiting for my neighbor to have time to use his torch to get my exhaust apart. Right now it is just the downpipe. I made the mistake of using the supplied guillotine clamps that came with it to put it together and couldn’t get it apart since I got them a little excessively tight and crushed it. I now have bought band clamps, but I still need to get it apart so it can be positioned again. A hand torch wouldn’t touch it. I’m also waiting for driveshafts before I can actually drive it. Just had to at least start it after all this time.
Friday, driving down a 45mph , 4 lane roadway, I saw a early 2nd gen dodge broken down in the fast lane. I went down the road a bit, and spun around pulling up in front of him and towed him off the road with my tow strap.
While under there, I could not believe the front frame horns were full of rot holes big enough for mice to get into. I was afraid to wrap the strap around anything but the frame.
This truck was a gasser, so it's not going up to Oliver's place to pass on its remains
