Yes I agree.. there is a short filter that he found to work on that, for the occasional "ice cream run"

This one is not the right size and they are a little ricey looking, but they work well and fit in tight areas.

I have a dumb question, can anyone weld cast aluminum? You see the the two 90 deg elbows, they are welded to the turbo compressor housing. After that its easy. I think that you can tig, but I'm not sure. I'm sure we can score a 90 off the S595, but that 90 on the might be tricky on the inlet of the GT42. I have been doing some thinking about where to put the gates at.

I wonder if we really have to run an external oil filter. Might be tight, but its only a race truck that would get new oil once a season. That S595, looks massive, I'll find time next week to go thru the S500 housing line-up. I don't think that it will be that hard to do, but I still want to put on instruments to make sure you have the right turbos.

Ok, thats almost done , we should work on that fuel system and putting her on a diet and put on longer/stiffer traction bars. A 4 link would be nice upgrade. If we have 1200 HP, on fuel, we should at least put it into the track.

As far as going down the track, it looks quite nice right now, other then the stock road going radials are not providing enough traction anymore, but if it is time to back halve and go 4 link then lets start drawing.

Kevin are you putting a fuel cell in it? Or staying with the stock tank?

When fabing the twins up I would also add in some brackets to hold the piping together.
Here is a picture of Tim Barber's setup using some brackets.
I know on my brother's truck the connection to the intercooler piping always blows off around 70-80psi. We need to fab up something to hold it together.

Just looking at those pictures, there are better hose clamps available. I get hose clamps that they use on air blower hoses. More surface area, and so more ablity to grab/hold onto stuff. Bends are the worst, as air will try to go straight. If you design the lines to stay as straight as possible, it will minumize tubes blowing off. Supports are always a good idea. If I was to build a 120psi twin system, there will be no hoses used at any of the joints. A pressure/seal fitting like used earlier set-up will take more abuse.

That air filter will just turn black in short order. I always want to run an air duct outside the engine compartment, to keep the blow-by/dirt/oil off that filter. Tim does a nice job on his twins

FYI- Also put a heat shield over the wiring harness, as the turbine housing on the secondary, tends to melt stuff. Been there done that.

As far as hoses blowing off we can just use v-bands like this setup uses.

Better yet are these Hargett clamps, as they allow for some movement, but are easier to use and quite a bit less money then an Adel Wiggins clamp.

No 3.5 inch. Either 3 or 4. Might be an issue.. also they are still fairly pricy,, I like the vband clamp idea,, LOL

Whoa! I like that setup.. Totally rigid. Reversing the HP turbo makes sense to me.

Those connections look good too, look similar to the stuff I see on Cats/Waukeshas.
