I hit the one on the core support (I had also added a bigger lead from the block to there as well). Hadn't even thought about the ones IN the cab. Will give them some attention too now.

Sorry about being all talk and no pictures. My flip phone doesn't take the best and my apathy towards technology prevents me from learning how to post them. Selfish I know. I'm the first to ask for pictures. Kinda makes me a hypocrite huh.

I seem to remember one or two screws that grounded out little groups of wires to the metal dash support, when I have pulled dash harnesses before. I will look into those if the speedo still bounces when I back it out of the shop in April.
Maybe grounding out the metal frame of the dash to the tub itself will help. I remember doing that years ago on a rig.

I spent last night starting on a couple of the hundred things I could have picked to do on my 2wd RC build.
I spent a little time getting the center console modified and test fit. I then drilled mounting holes for it in the floorboard. I also started to work out the elevated pedestal mount for the auto shifter I will make outta metal for my fancy B+M shifter.

Hung the plow today, they're calling for a storm on Saturday. Hopefully it misses us.

So, yesterday, I got in the truck to do a fence repair for a friend of mine (my wife), and the old brick stumbled and died after about 30 seconds of running.
The day before I noticed it stumbled a little while on the highway, but paid no attention to it because it ran fine afterwards. I guess it gave up the ghost in my own driveway.

Called Ollie, and he was laughing that I was in my own driveway, broked down. Haha. Funny, and a good thing. I tried the brassed tipped one off ebay, and it didn't work. The truck would not shut off.

Popped the hood, and noticed fuel running down the FSS. Sprayed it up, and found it leaking at the top, just under the wires where they're nutted down.

Never saw that before.

So I changed out the FSS (which seems to happen at least once a year with these chinese made pieces of crapola), bled the injectors, and she started back up.

Noticed the cracked wubber. Again, seems like once a year, no matter where I buy them from

Some of the guys in my area are using metal posts with a bracket welded on to hold the 2x4 cross pieces, no more fence falling down from rotted off posts.

Metal post makes sense. But then how will the fence companies continue to make money???

NJTMan - you funny man! I've not heard of the FSS leaking there either. Have you tried sourcing the VW FSS? Not sure if they are any better now or not, but the last one I bought was way cheaper..

Another beautiful day here in Old Kentucky: mid 30sF and drizzling. So a good day to make a run to the dump. Tare weight with me, half a tank of fuel and miscellaneous tools, fluids & chains etc = 6980lbs.

And speaking of the junk yard. I do have a couple pics of that W350 CC, if somebody really wants to see them and will PM me their cell, I can send them for posting on here.

Not yet, no.

My big problem now is that the truck died again, this morning, again, in my driveway.

I started it up, let it idle, and about 30 seconds later, the stumbling, tons of smoke, and it died out. Seems to have lost it's prime again. No clue as to why / what / or where, as I just walked to my wife's SUV, and drove out of here. Luckily it's in my driveway, and not on the side of the road somewhere.

For another day, considering it's snowing and raining here.
