I have a Tekonsha II on Patches as well and adjust the amount of applied braking from loaded and empty too. Just a quick adjustment on the dial on the controller and your set up....I really like the way the controller functions

I had an older Tekonsha that I found somewhere that had a big rheostat and a hydraulic piston that hooked up to the brake line on the old pickup I had at the time. It worked great and you could reach down and slide the rheostat over if you needed to lock up the trailer brakes.

Today I replaced my wiper motor. No really! The other day I replaced both window motors because the originals brushes were shot.

Oddly when I run the wipers without the engine running it makes the AutoMeter tach go crazy. It's fine with the motor running though. I never noticed it doing that with the old wiper motor. The only thing left to do is to replace the R-134a with the R-12 I bought a while back but since it's winter now It can wait for spring. Probably needs doing before we start out for Oklahoma with the RV in tow.

I think I could a few more miles out of these shocks.....

Just kidding, this truck has been sitting for about 6 years.
I bought it a couple of years ago, off the side of the road from some Mexican landscapers.
Slowly getting it road worthy. Very slowly.

My 93 when it became the donor for my crewcab 2wd to 4wd conversion was still wearing it's original OEM shocks...looked about the same as those ones.

I think most would qualify this pickup as a donor .

I've been a long time gone from here! Man, oh man! I don't even know where I left off and would have to look back over all of my activity.

Most recently, I changed over to the J-hook wiper arms from the pin type. I bought them from Rock Auto for a '95 Ford F-series. Very small amount of modifications and they work! Now I can have a bit more of a variety of blades to choose from and even buy some at Costco. Whether on sale or not, they're inexpensive; $9/each normally.

Northern VT got a bunch of heavy wet snow the past couple days. The old W-350 plow truck with its 9 FT blade and tire chains was out pushing snow
I got about 9 inches of snow over the weekend. With the forecast calling for it to turn pretty cold this week, the wet snow needed to be pushed aside before it froze up into rutted up cement.

Since the VT hinterland hasn't perfected cameras yet I'm envisioning it in my mind and it's looking pretty cool. You have weight in the back?

We got about an inch over the weekend. Luckily it melted before I had to plow it off But the county made sure that they reduced their salt stockpile substantially so we would all be safe in our SUVs going about our important business...

Coming from the guy who also never posts pictures.......................

I still prefer to use words, rather than emojis, pictures, Twitter, hashtags, Facebook, "Snap-Vine-Insta-Chat" garbage, to convey my thoughts.
I know reading is not everybody's favorite, but it is how I learned a lot of useful info about these trucks FROM this site.

No one has posted to the single, most popular thread on this WHOLE site in almost 2 weeks. I added what I did to my 1st gen in an attempt to keep this site a little more alive and maybe other people would join in describing what they are doing to the trucks we all love.

The plow truck is a flatbed full of the same 10 inches of wet snow and has 4 old dually rims and tires loaded in it for extra weight and as it is a good storage spot for them. It also has a thick large plate steel area in the bed that the last guy used for welding and metal work.

I will be doing some work on my 2wd to 4x4, frame off, club cab Dodge truck project today, but I will not bore you guys with that as there will be no pictures.

trying to get the ducks in a row for a hydroboost swap. Looking to use JIC style fittings on P/S, M/C, and steering gear so I can just run hydrualic hoses in between. Does anyone here happen to know what adaptors I would need to do this or at least where I can look up the thread info for those fittings?
Also got a gift voucher for the ol girl to have a spa day this spring. Full detail interior and clay bar and wax on the exterior. Gonna be lip stick on a pig mostly but will be nice to see it shined up have decent.

"Coming from the guy who also never posts pictures......................." Touché my friend!

I had been wondering that maybe my email was messed up since I was not getting any notices of new posts. Scary since my other favorite site for Power Wagons pretty much died a couple years ago. Only been 3 of us posting sporadically in the 72-93 forum...

We agree on words and reading. Back in the 1990's when I was young and lamenting that I had no time to read anymore I sat down and contemplated what was I doing in life that was taking up/wasting my time? Other than being "busy" the only thing I could come up with was TV. So in 1996 we kicked it out of the house and now I read instead.

I occasionally wish I could post pictures to share but I'm not willing to learn or get a smart phone or master the computer to do so. My flip phone, computer etc and I have never fully bonded. We've just found a mutual understanding and agree to disagree. Having said that I can't thank those that post pictures enough. I have stacks of Stickies I've printed out for How-Tos. I refer to the photos as much as the text to walk me through the work.

Now if I can just figure out how to ditch the credit card too...

Have you done a hydroboost search here? There's been several write-ups on different folks converting, they might have done the same way. I didn't find any in the Sticky but there are threads out there and some of those guys are still active here.

IIRC when I needed lines for my hydro boost swap on my '89 RC, I found that a 2nd gen hose I had in the shop worked for what I needed.

That was 5 years and a lot of Dodge truck projects ago, so I don't have much else to tell you off the top of my head.
