I installed Jim Lane's headlight harness. I also cut the stock crappy battery terminals off and replaced them with military style battery terminals and soldered on copper battery lugs.

Yes I did the headlight relays as well before my winter hauling escapade. Couldn't get the DRL system to work right, so I unplugged the DRL module, and switched the wires around so it functions as Jim's diagram for US (Non-DRL) models. Worked great!

I finished my traction control device today.

I will modify them in the future (height / width / mounting, etc.) but for now, they work. Boy, do they make the ride so much better. Amazing what 360lbs of weight in the right place can do for the ride quality of an old brick.

Had to do 3 point mounting to make sure the cages didn't slide out with the weight in them. Worked fine, and there's enough clearance in the tailgate area to not affect the tailgate function.

I'm sure the bags will get shorter as I drive around.... unless of course, they freeze first.

Thanks...

Linex works really well if it's installed properly from the start. Things don't slosh around, keeps maintenance down to a washing from time to time.

I had the rubber bed mats, drop in plastic liners, old crates.... Nothing works as good as the Linex...

(Sorry, TC..... Mine's been real good, simply because the guy who did it cared enough to utilize the product properly)

I started reading your post and wondered if there would be a reference to my situation thrown it....well done....

As pretty much everyone stated...it was clearly a lack of prep that caused my issues. Most people have had great success with the LineX product if installed properly.

I got stuck in the flat parking lot in town because after our first snow the parking lots turned into compacted snow and ice. I had to get out and lock the hubs so I could back out of the spot, ridiculous. The next day I picked up 8 bags of softener salt (340lbs). Yes it makes one hell of a difference on those slick road days.

Just like today.... even my dog had to wear sandbags after a few minutes of this stuff.

(first snow of the season, so she's not used to driving in it yet)

Good looking dog. Ours get high centered if it snows any deeper than 3" The four wheel drive works pretty good though. At least until they decide they need a ride. Nothing like carrying a wet dog.

If you own a wiener dog in the north, you just have to plan on carrying it sometimes.

Was at a salvage yard one time. The owner had one of those sawed off dogs that was pretty old. It was following us around, and suddenly he noticed it was missing. Back tracked a ways and found it high centered with front and back in different boot tracks, totally helpless. I dang near died laughing.

She just turned 12 in August. She's the bestestest dog ever.....IMO,

Slowing down, but still the bestestest......

Wouldn't want to carry her around, though..... she's up near 70lbs still....
