1,114 miles today, with ~9k in tow. Decided last minute yesterday to put a new set of hankook dynapros on her too. 285/70/17. Ride decent and not much road noise. Can't say as much for the old getrag. I think she is staring into the bright lights. Stopped to get fuel the last time this evening and when I got back out on the highway she was whining a bit louder than she ever has. Hoping the night of rest and cooling down and she'll get me home the rest of the way. Only 650 miles tomorrow. Anyone have an nv4500 lying around?

That's a long day man!! Stay safe, and hope the old Getrag holds up until you get home.

After I got back from Eastern WA with Sno Ball I noticed Ol' Patches started to develop a slight shimmy from somewhere. Been so busy with the move I did not take any time to investigate. Did another run up to PG and back last week, and the shimmy was getting worse the whole way up and back.

Again no time to investigate since crunch time for packing was yesterday. Got that finished and a load off our minds. So after work yesterday...2am to 2pm shifts suck!...I decided to crawl around the truck...well I found my problem.

Turns out the drivers side rear tire was bulging within the tread. About 18" was almost worn down to nothing. I'm amazed the tire had not blown before now...I think the cool weather we have been having probably saved it from bowing up.

Been trying to upload some pics of it to photobucket....but it doesn't like me tonight.

You should try this on a 14,000 lb box while doing 70MPH.

Looks like you have a california truck there...
The signs in the window are car show signs with year, make, engine, owner ETC on them. Not for sale signs you silly wabbit.
The picture is from last weeks Mopar Father's day car show.
The rusty stuff pictures were of Dodge trucks I couldn't save that where headed to the scrap yard.

Thanks. The boards are for a high tech party game known, in these parts, as "corn hole".

Do you have a snubber in there ? To regulate the fuel pressure so it's steady ?

Look here:

No snubber, and I can't buy that as a reason because it's worked flawlessly for a year without one. Air in the tubing works as a "snubber"

Changed they oil in Patches today...291K Km's now. Also gave it a bath.

I have also been searching for a Winch type front bumper, pics, ideas or pre made units. Need something that can hopefully repel a dear for when we move up north. Found a couple craigslist winch bumpers I'm trying to see...but if no luck then I will probably make my own once we get moved up north.

Also been searching for a decent winch. Well today I found a decent Warn winch...12000lb unit for a good price. And it's in the town we are moving too....so I put a deposit on it and will pay the rest when i get up there.
