What did you do to your Gen 1 today?
Sno-Ball and I were plowing the driveway and yard today and something went "ting" in the plow when I ran into a snow bank and the trip springs went over.....would not return to upright condition. Removed the plow and turned out one of the lower pivot pins had sheared off and bound things up.
So had to cut the old pins to get things apart, once apart the LH side pivot was also cracked in several places. Ground the cracks open and then fired up the old stick welder. Been a lot of years since I have done any stick welding....forgot how much I loved using the big 240V arc welders! Got things patched up for now....will have to tear things apart to replace that cracked bushing eventually.

Well considering how many years that plow has been on the front of the RC, and it has worked it's whole life, I'm surprised that it's in as good a shape as it is. But being a nice and simple system helps too.
But being a Beautiful clear cold day here today, decided to grease up Ol' Patches front to back.....good for another month or two.

Spent the weekend plus Friday at the sand dunes in Glamis, Ca.
Truck ran beautifully pulling the trailer. Since we left at 9pm and it is a 3 hour drive I loaded the bikes in the back of the truck instead of the trailer so we could make camp quickly!
Coming home there was a 30mph headwind going back to San Diego and burned some fuel but passed 3 or 4 other trucks pulling trailers up the grade. Saw one other dodge but it was a V8 gas motor and blew by him.

Hahahaha....big difference between your pic and mine, and probably 30*C or more in temperature too.
Looks like your having fun, and using the 1st gen for what it was made for....love it!

Found out the Mule has a cracked fuel tank........... Now how in the HECK does a plastic fuel tank crack on the top?
Worse, the gasser tank does not appear to be the same..........Grrr..........
Anyway, found a tank off a 1990 for 75 bucks, going to get it tomorrow, then on to the fun of taking a tank off that hasn't been off since 1989.
