What did you do to your Gen 1 today?
Heck, I'm excited to see "made in Mexico" as well. I've said it before, at least it's not made in china.. A lot of mexican made products are still made relatively well, by comparison.
Hung the ex rice farmer probably thinks he is doing really good to make shiny parts. Though nobody in the entire plant has a clue what it is.(but it is shiny)
Modified a spare ashtray so I could mount a rocker switch for the manual on/off control of the electric fans.....when I get it finally installed.

That 3/4" torque wrench, where did you source that from? Non of the parts houses loan out a 3/4"; 1/2" is their largest. Going to check the rental yard next.
Harbor freight caries a 3/4 drive TW, but 300 ft lbs is the max

As I said before, I use a 3/4 breaker bar, a piece of pipe, a fish scale if I want to be precise, and my calculator.
Some have over 6,000 hours on them.
In the 16 years with my company I know of two turbo failures.
Bought this truck (my first cummins) in December.
Previous owner said he didn't know if KDP was fixed or not.
Truck is a 92 with 220,xxx on broken odometer so most certainly much higher.
Pin is recessed a fat 16th or slim 8th inch.
Going to make a tab and lock tight all the other housing screws.

No amount of tabbing will stop your pin from recessing. It will stop it from walking forward into the timing case. You may find a couple bolts hard to get to without some creative tool making.
