Sport Package N/A for '05

Went out to dodge.com to price an '05. Did a 3500 SRW shortbed. Laramie H package, w/ sunroof. Could not find an option to click the Sport package, or snow plow prep package. Are these not available for '05? Or just not with the Laramie?

That was always a selling point for me on the Dodge was the "chrome delete" like my '01 has.

Also, has anyone seen oen with a sun-roof, or is it going to be a late delivery thing? Not worht a getrag tranny to get a sunroof.

I also tried it with the 2500 and it had the sun roof and snow plow options. These were later on in the Additional options. Too bad they didn't add an electric rear window option. I'd much rather see that on a truck than a sun roof.

But I did not see the sport pkg option. I would think this would be one of the first choices. Actually, I like the chrome. Maybe the 3500 does not have the same options. Who ever heard of a sporty 3500?
just kidding.

The 2000s with the 5" tall sport stickers on the hood were horrible. Especially the duallys. Its a 7k lb truck, its not a sports car. The later years with the more subtle tags and still no chrome were most appealing to me.... Just an individual preference thing, but I really like no chrome and am annoyed that Ford only offers it on XLTs. (Not that I would buy a Ford anyway)

Okay screwed with it some more -- looks like only available on 2500 SLT. Much like the Off-road package (except its available on the 3500 SLT as well). Also Snow plow group only on 2500, wonder if the 3500 already has the highest rated springs? (and the alternator/batteries don't change on the CTD, so only other portion is the t'case skid plate)

Also, Dodge does list 23,000lb GCWR on the web page now, which is nice.

last year they had the sport pkg option on the Laramie. Maybe they just haven't gotten there yet. I noticed that when I pushed some of the buttons such as the one to locate the truck at a dealer the button did not work yet.

Not having the snow plow option on the 3500 also seem strange. Maybe they don't have it on the dually? I kinda think they just added the 05 stuff and it's not all there yet.

'05 3500 SRW Sport

OK, I just "built" my truck on the DC site, and it showed the Sport package available on my 3500 4x2 SB SRW SLT setup. A few other oddities, though - the sliding rear window wasn't listed - maybe I missed it in the clutter, but I didn't see it anywhere on the summary report. The folding flat load floor is no longer a separate listing on the SLT; looks like it's only bundled with the Premium cloth seat if you don't buy the Laramie pkg...

The probable reason why you are not seeing he Sport Package is because you are choosing the SNOW PLOW prep pkg. Sport Pkg is NOT available with the Snow Plow Pkg.

It was last year, not sure how they are related.

Also -- I COULD NOT choose the snow plow package on the 3500. It was not listed.
