Do you really mean best? Or do you mean best within a certain price range? I ask because off road lights can be very expensive, with some costing more than $400 ea. I like Soltek LaPaz HID lights ($500 ea), Hella Ralleye 4000 HID ($650 ea), and Light Force 240HID ($800 ea).

As far as light bars go, I think this one is the best:

Defiant Light Bar

I didn't have the dough to buy the best so I went with good stuff instead: Randy Ellis Designs Sleekster and Hella FF1000 lights. About $450 for everything and they get the job done.

I have the Randy Ellis bar with 4 8" Pro Comp lights. Only paid 30 bucks a pop for the lights from a 4 WheelParts Expo, have only had KCs in the past and like the procomps better, have had them on for about 1 1/2 years and only had to change the bulbs once becuse the GF hit the switch and didnt know it and left them on over night.

I have one set of KC 130w Daylighters and I am happy with them, there long range not flood but man they are crazy bright.

They have a good price on them not to high as far as lighting goes and if you brake any part of them you can get find a replacment part, not alot of lights out there are like that.

If you want to see a pict I can get one for ya.

This is my setup. Randy ellis bar. KC lights, 2 6" driving, 2 6" pencil beam, 2 8" pencil beam. I bought all lights direct from KC when I was on vacation in williams AZ. All the lights are wired so they come on with my high beams. I also have the bright box kit with the fod light bulb conversion and piaa bulbs.

Scott,

I got them from KC but if you look around you might run into a sale price or sale and free shipping.

They should still come with the hard covers, some area's you can get a fine for not having them covered, like were I am.

Lightforce also makes some non hid ones that are very nice. They have the 140's, 170's and the 240's. I have a set of 170's and they have been great. Have been on 5 years+ approx 180k on them and they still work as good as the day I bought them. Still look as good as well. I have not had to do one thing to them since I installed them and aimed them originally, well except use them of course..
