Am I too proud?
I need to sell pretty bad at this point. Am I simply too proud of it? I've gotten not a single bite on it for over 2 months of having classifieds up here and the other big Dodge forum as well, autotrader, and a few other places. To me it seems reasonable since it is a few thousand below KBB private party but please educate me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

I don't know about 2wd trucks cause we don't have them here. I think the price is ok but it is in the range where it's too expensive for somebody looking for a deal on a used truck yet it's too close to a new truck price for someone with that kind of money. I just think you are a victim of that price range. I wouldn't give it away either. Just my opinion.

Not sure if this helps or not I trade with a friend of mine been doing buisiness for about 14 years he works for a dodge dealership. I have no idea what your truck is worth and would never price someone elses. He is in the process of selling my 03 2wd 1 ton auto four door 86000 miles for $21,000 its basiclly your pickup 2 years older and 60,000 more miles he told me my 07 3/4 ton SRW 6 speed 4WD with 27000 miles was worth 29 to 31. Hope this helps ???

If there isn't a demand for that type of truck in your area it might be too much. Don't get me wrong I personally think the truck looks like it's worth it. The problem now is that it's getting close to the end of the year and the rebates and the motivation to sell off the remaining 2007's is ever increasing. You can drive a brand new truck of the lot after knocking a huge chunk off the MSRP. That brings the price of a new truck closer and closer to the price you're asking for your truck. Most people would rather have a new truck for a few thousand more. It took almost a year to sell my wife's car and it was priced well below book. It may take awhile but just keep it on the market and right buyer will come along.

Many times it's about financing. Buying something used off a dealership gets better financing than finding a private sale and then looking for financing. Most all of today's buyers are looking for those special interest deals that dealerships offer on both new and used vehicles.
In 2006 and 2007, there were a ton of Dodge diesels sold new that had Dodge diesel trade-ins, the dealerships made out really good from both the new and used sales. Lots of the vehicles sold in both years were ordered from the dealerships, the guys spent some time trying to sell their trucks, but many ended up trading them in when the new truck came in. So there was a good-sized influx to those seeking used with better financing that you can just go out and get somewhere.
There is a buyer for everything, yours being 2-wheel drive might take a little longer. Sales of 4x4's is running pretty high over 2x's right now, usual fall stuff and people thinking about winter and want 4x's.

I hate to say it, but if I was looking at a truck with a Smarty and the other accessories I would think it was ridden hard and put up wet. Anyway I hope you find a buyer soon. Looks well taken care of.

I know when I was looking at trucks, and I started looking at used trucks, it just didn't make sense to buy used when new were only a couple thousand more and there were no miles on it. I think its just a rough spot for you to be in. Truck looks really clean though.
