Don't know what I did wrong but I didn't get the mpg's everyone else is. I got 16 highway one way and 14 back. 250 miles one way, had a bad head wind on the way home though. Anybody have a fooler or in the mix of making one for the egr delete yet?

Right now, I'd be happy as heck to see 16!!! 14 would even be an improvement.... Best I've seen so far is 12.8, downhill with a tailwind.

Nope, empty. The overhead said 18.5-18.9. Kept it under 70 too.

Bolted to the top of the intake, on the driver's side of the engine.

I have not seen this information varified anywhere and just wanted to make sure it was true.

INTAKE T/MAP sensor is mounted to the intake plenum / Air Inlet Assembly, just above the EGR Airflow Throttle Control Valve and below the EGR Valve Solenoid

Quick question, someone may have already asked it but I haven't taken the time to read through all 20+ pages of this thread. I have the EGR blocker plates sitting at home right now, the truck is bone stock other than my DPF delete kit, no Insight or anythign like that. Will the truck go into limp mode when I install the plates or just throw the CEL without having any kind of tuner/mod?

It will just throw a "soft" code CEL. No limp mode or anything like that. Just the annoying light on the dash.

So unpluging it is ok then. Should make my mpg go to 30 or better....

From what I've found the egr is not affecting mileage very much. Then the DPF must be the mpg killer along with the injectors fireing during the exhaust stroke.

Will the EGR unplug mod cause the engine to idle eratically at times or "buck" when coming to a stop, reversing, idling, etc.. at times?
