I know it's unrelated but I spent the last two days working on my 2001 diesel VW Jetta... New timing belt, water pump, all roller bearings, cam and crank seals, etc.... 5th TB change, 420,000 miles and going strong…. Whoop Whoop!

OK back to the Dodge subject.
I have Hella headlights on order along with relays etc. Going to do the https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...s-t176263.html mod as soon as I recover from that TB Jetta thing..

I'm having a look today to see why my
overdrive kicks in and out.
Going to make a wire connector to the overdrive
into the cab so I can test it with a toggle switch.
Trying to see if the problem is tranny or control circuit

Took out the Getrag and transfer case yesterday. Cleaned all the grease and grime off today. Was really caked on bad. Taking the getrag to get rebuilt tomorrow due to losing all gears except for fourth. Going to replace seals in the NP205 since it is making it pretty dang dirty under there due to a slow leak.

Going to replace clutch while everything is out with a Sachs when I get it in the next few days.

I cleaned up my transmission wiring harness. I also started started soaking my spare chrome mirror parts in Clorox to remove the remaining chrome. Then I will paint them trim black and replace the mirror glass.

Got the custom secondary hood latch dailed in, finally.
Then got the hood to close nicely and the grille test fit over the 24V intercooler.
I have a little work to do to the back of the grille and I am off to button up the EGT and Boost gauges in the cab.

I'm going to be doing up the gauges in the crewcab in the next few days. Where are you running your 12V ignition source, and lights from?

Got the new carpet laying inside and unfolding from shipment. Made the cad files for the winch bumper and cut the top and bottom out on my CNC Plasma table. I will start welding on it tomorrow.

I can send you a picture of my custom secondary/saftey hood latch to an E-mail address. If you would like that PM with your E-mail address.
I don't have the computer skills to load pictures on here.

I basically cut 1 1/4 inches out of the center of the latch, then welded back together.
I then ground down the hook end, so it didn't hit the huge 24v intercooler hiding right below the upper lip of my '91 core support.
It took me awhile to get it just right, and still be able to open it with the grille on.

I am making one of Autometers 1st gen two gauge A-pillar pods work on my '85 crew.
It is designed to be used on the later 1st gen trucks with the a-pillar trim, but I can get it to look good without it.
I ran the wires behind the dash and down to the fuse box where it is soldered and shrink wrapped onto the wire off the back of the 3 AMP fuse at the top of the box.
I can send you a picture to an e-mail address as well if you like.

Made a test switch to determine if my overdrive problem is in the trans
or control circuit, turns out my problem is on the control side, trans works fine. Going to check the wiring next.

I also took my truck to the spring shop, turns out it had 5 cracked leafs.
I wonder if hard launches have something to do with that?
Sure sits higher in the back now.
