That sucks, but it happens. At least just when I think it doesn't, it does . . . A virtual libation of your choice to you in sympathy.

. Man, I'd be way upset also. Sorry to hear. Bright side is the damage looks minimal, and although parts are scarce for our rigs these days, body shops still work on them all day every day. Hey, it'll make a nice reason to repaint the truck. Can't let Jim lane have the best looking rig forever LOL!

Used my truck today to haul heavy. Every couple of months I have to drain out the black water in my trailer into a 40GALLON TOTE ON WHEELS! Yay! Never fails. Every time I unhoom the tote's dump hose from the rv black water hook up the residual ends up on me!!!. Then I hook up that smelly tote to my hitch and haul it about 150 yards up the hill to my uncles septic tank to drain, and end up wearing it again when dumping into his tank. Feel like forest gump...good thing is the truck pulled the mess no problem. Hate emptying out my tank!!

I ran septic/vacuum trucks for about 5 years...so I'm very familiar with other peoples poo...........

People used to ask how I could do that job, didn't the smell get to me. I just laughed and said it only smelled like money to me.

There's enough character driving it, so I don't need any more character happening to it, Thanks

Hey Tman, I did the exact same thing to my '72 W200 - Backing trailer into back yard but knudged the fencepost on the driver front fender right in the middle. Left a nice crease in my previously perfect turqoise sheetmetal body/fender that I robbed off a cherry 73 D200 Crew. I frantically brought out the hammer to bash it back out and made it worse.

Yeah 1st Gen Cummins trucks do have plenty of character on their own. My cousin used to keep a sharpie marker in his CJ7 and would initial the dents and scratches he put in it when he was out wheelin'.

An ASME certified welder puts his stamp on every weld. Why wouldn't a certifiable red neck sign his work?

This was a sweet looking truck,

Until the dog took it for a spin.

A little Rubbing Compound ought to do it.

Sorry to say but IMO that is some poor dog training that caused that. Look for that truck in a junkyard near you....insurance write off I'm sure. Not that it would have really been hurt.

Had to pull the pump top, fuel pin was leaking. Found the new oring had been cut when I was installing the lock nut. Make sure you seat the oring fully in the recepticle with teh fuel pin in before installing in the pump, and then tightening the lock collar. Live and learn. Top hat flew away twice. (my first and second ever time experiencing that, not fun finding those little pieces.) took over 4 hours start to finish.

Oh yeah, I bought a viton oring kit at harbor freight and found a perfect match. Anyway, hope it lasts another 150K, I don't ever want to do that again.

I'm glad though I like wrenching on Cummins engines, otherwise I would be hating life. Still can't do a test run/leak test until tomorrow due to noise. Wish me luck.
