I have 4” to a Donaldson muffler. It’s pretty quiet as far as exhaust goes. It’s engine and road noise. I have a pretty good audio setup, but sometimes quiet is nice. I also need to work on the squeaks and rattles of a 50 year old truck.
Tires like that tend to whine as well.
My little toyota has mudders on it, and makes all kinds of road noise. Dodge, OTOH, has all season road tires, and doesn't make nearly as much.
We like to get our beef from local butchers. They have better quality. Grass fed is much better than CAFO beef. We bought a deep freeze for meat only and filled it up with bartered beef last year. Good stuff.

we buy a 1/2 beef from a buddy and I get a 1/4 buffalo from work every year. Can’t be compared to any store bought meat. That’s for sure.
Topped off my battery with the trickle charger. Took the 1/2 drive impact gun to the spare IP screw on the AFC. I want to check how the smoke screw is adjusted. Allegedly it has an aftermarket fuel pin in it.
the only reason I’d install one, is more sound deadening. This is my daily and it’s not uncommon to do a 500 mile drive home to visit. Some quiet would be ok….
It's the heat for me in Hawaii that is a problem with no headliner- you could burn your hand on it if you park it in the sun!

Another odd thing about Hawaii- grass fed beef is the only beef raised on island- feed lots aren't cost affective here because there is no hay bailing etc.
I agree completely, can't eat "commercial" meat hardly anymore, and I drink my own cows milk, have two dexters. In fact, here is me moving them back to the farm with my first gen!

I haven't seen it yet. My brother is building a 3200sqft condominium he has a 15,000 tank.Will use it for everything.. This will include his gardening. He is building in Volusia County Florida. If it was me I would pump the water out of the swampy areas of his property for the garden. It is loaded with nutrients. We pumped it on to his grass seed on his drainfield back in November.
You can't let light get into the piping. White PVC is not sun blocking.

Were just getting started with rain water harvesting. The new to use tank will be used for the swamp cooler in the shop and gardening. The previous owner let it get contaminated with algae, will see if it can be de-contaminated and used for potable water. If you look at the top right of the picture you can see our 3000 gal well tank. About 9 months ago our well went dry and we've been living with bulk water delivery. We redrilled the old well down to 500' from 200' and just got it hooked up to the tank today. Now we can afford a long hot shower, at least once a month.

Glad to see youall appreciate grass finished beef! Weaning 9 tomorrow. Kept two from the year before, they'll be harvested this fall. My oldest daughter kept 4-6 every year to sell as freezer beef for her FFA SAE & some income. Ruminants evolved to process grass, not grain. They actually have to completely change the micro-biome in their rumen when they are finished on grain. Old English cattle like the Dexters finish sooner and seem to marble more on grass than the continental breeds, I'll bet their milk has a higher butter content too huh? How do they handle the Hawaii heat?
That '80 Power Wagon resembles my '77 with the flat bed. Looks like it might have a slight lift or maybe that's just because the front bumper is missing? Still not near enough for those tractor tires though!
Scout4bta, I dig those old school white spokes! I had a set on my '62 ****** CJ-3B... I bought a set of turbines, my other favorites, with Ground Hawgs a while back. Not really sure why because they are way too wide for anything I'd ever run but I always wanted a set (like the General Lee had).
We're really starting to promote water harvesting here too. Not that we're short on water with 50"+ a year but now it comes in quick, heavy bursts and all runs off and/or causes erosion. Plus city water for cattle can be expensive but they do better and consume more if it's cool clean water.
