Well the 3-6 inches of snow they called for yesterday turned into 16-18 inches. The girlfriend got stuck in the driveway coming home from work and needed me to help. I decided it might be time to plow after I got her unstuck. With a quick bit of shovel work, some of my old 4 wheeling moves behind the wheel and the massive help of activating the rear locker it was unstuck, turned around and pointed down the driveway.

With a little help from the jumper pack my old plow truck was up and running. The old W350 with chains on the rear didn't care much about the deep, heavy wet snow and cleared the yard nicely.
Apparently it worked as the girlfriend's truck tracks seem straight headed down the driveway this morning now the sun is up. She opens the place she works at so she leaves pre dawn.

They are calling for another 1 inch of snow today, but if the snow I am looking at out the window keeps up at this rate for long, it will be a lot more than that.

Supposed to be cold and windy this weekend. Weird thing I have never done here in TN. It's time to cut the grass in MARCH!!!! Never before! Basically been living here since '95. Don't worry! I have plenty of beer! Almost 3 acres to cut with a small 46" Husqvarna.

Instead of freezing my butt off in the wind diagnosing the dually fueling problem. I can bundle up and cut grass.

We have 2 acres here and cut it with a 48 inch zero turn mower. Got a big pile of mushroom dirt to skirt around right now. Waiting to spread it with the tractor and cultivator. Garden should be great this year. May need it the way things are going.

The zero turn are much faster. I have 1.12 acres where I live. 2 doors down the street I have an additional 1.64. Both have trailers on them. Where I live has a shop. 720sqft it's packed tight with parts and tools. I had a 10x30 shed on the other place. Almost 2 weeks ago we had 70+mph straight line winds. I am getting a bid tomorrow on how much to haul it off. It's a mess. I was going to use it for a goat, and chicken house.

We get the winds and tornadoes here in spades! Last week we had a big hailstorm that dented the wife's Ford Ranger with the aluminum body. The Dodge was safely under the carport. Gotta love the midwest. We have constitutional carry here though which makes it nice.

You're in Tennessee?

Yep, TN. I am 40mi West of Nashville. I thought I had that listed! We are trying for constitutional carry. I have the original "enhanced" carry permit.

That wind storm was unprecedented huh Rug Trucker? It topped 67mph here for about 2 hours straight. Lots of trees down, missing shingles and farm structures damaged/destroyed. I was worried about my old tobacco barn but it fared fine. My shop, which sits below it and lower took the hit though, 3/4 of the roof just flipped off, rafters and all.

Luckily though, my CTD and a Subaru that were in there weren't touched. The 1/4 remaining is where all my tools and equipment are stored so I've just made a wall out of tarps and have the rest piled and covered. Where the two parts of the roof separated is right where the power service enters and it missed the pole & lines so I still have electric, which is really good since I just filled the deep freeze there with half a steer! My dad & brother down in the bottom across the creek lost electricity for 6 days and that's where the other half of the steer is so we kept the generator busy!

And yes, grass is growing here too. 70s one day, 30s the next. Really weird weather...

I was working in the Nashville area. Did my neighbor call and tell me what was going on? No. Another forwarded some pics to me.

82 and sunny in Hawaii. Had some wind a few days ago, blew the sign off my business, going to put a ladder in the back of my truck today to hang it back up. Turning on the AC in my office now. Going to be about 82, again.

We bought a 10 KW genset and wired the house to connect to it. If power goes out I just roll the genset out and connect propane and the power cord and everything works again. It's enough to even run the HVAC!
