Billet compressor in my new turbo. Sharp as a razor. I did some cerakote. Shot clear on my intake tube 300* air dry stuff. Don't want it to oxidize in the future. Air dry 1800* Glacier Black on the turbine and actuator. "Blaze" pigment with metal flake that I thought was going to be dark red on the compressor. I dumped the whole amount they sent for 4oz of coating into a little over 1oz of 2 part mix. The black, and other clear are single part air dry. The compressor was bake @250* for 2 hrs. Never will I do that again without a dedicated oven.
Applicator do-hicky for the coatings. Not the best if you want a flawless finish. Going to coat the 4" Diamond Eye down pipe and stainless muffler today in Glacier black. I slathered the black on pretty thick.
I think the original was like maybe 1oz. When I had my '81 Charger 2.2 the windshield was so leaned back I would pull onto the road and the dew would disintegrate before my eyes @45mph!
So, yesterday, I decided to "blow up the dodge", and go against my wife's wishes and drive the **** thing. The bed was full of cut branches, and I needed to get to the township recycle yard to drop them off. I Figured it would let loose, and I could just walk back home and get a tow truck over there to drag it back.
So I hop in the beast. Still making noise.
Pull out of the driveway, head up about 1000 feet to the end of the block, and controlling the banging with my right foot, as while I keep the trottle pushed, no noise, other than the sweet cummins noise it always makes.
I get to the yard, and back up to the branch pile. Throw it in neutral, e brake on, and there's no banging. It sounds normal.
I'm like..... WTFF ??
Okay, dump the branches, and get back in. Truck sounds normal. Drive it home, drive past my house, and circle the neighborhood a few times.
No banging.
I pull in the driveway, and roll underneath after shutting it off. I put my finger in the open inspection port of the trans, and there's the normal "leaking trans fluid" that's always there since the front pump has leaked since it was rebuilt by the crooks at the trans shop. Now there's particles in the oil. Gritty particles.
I smiled while looking up at the trans thinking, "well, this isn't a bud light commercial, but I'm not liking this trans much either, but at least the engine isn't the issue", or so I believed.
So after contemplating setting it on fire in my driveway, I called the Vermont expert, and told him the story. He thinks that something loosened up and was smacking the flexplate. Whatever that is most likely just sheared off while driving it, and stopped the noise.

Yes there is a severe "lean" to the windshield in the 80s Chargers. Even being a short 5'6" I still barely avoid bumping my head in my 85 Shelby Charger, need to look into the brake issues and get it on the road.

I owned the GlHS Shelby Charger AND a rampage- back in the 90s, in fact, traded my charger in for the 93 cummins I had for years. Loved them.
