Yessir! Got everything into the storage unit. Tomorrow I start moving furniture into the new place, then wash up and hit the road again, back to Commiefornia for the last and much lighter load. Hoping I can squeeze one more car into the next trip, so I don’t have to go back and get it later. I’m exhausted! Here’s something you won’t see in CA.....

Well after reading a couple thead responses in the last few months I finally tried backing up my trailer with the transfer case in 4Lo...worked pretty slick! Like using an old farm tractor with a super granny low.

Yeah. My buddies truck is even crazier. These trucks torque some, but his 800hp 3rd gen with a 6 speed Allison drops one side I swear it must be 2 inches when in low and you put it in gear. Makes tipping the stubborn cottonwoods that decide to lean towards peoples house over easier though. You have to ride the brakes or else it goes to fast 😂

I bought a band saw for my adventure into wood working a couple weeks ago.
I rented a low short trailer to go pick it up. I always hated those short narrowish trailers to back because they "come around" so quick.

Having 2wd low made it a walk in the park.

Once the dust settles you are going to really like not being in Kalifornia.

I don't know if you felt the same but we noticed a feeling of relief as we crossed into Arizona.

Wow, I guess this country bumpkin would get eaten alive there.

My wife and I just left to visit the daughter 5 hours away, couldn’t find the keys to the house so we just left. All the keys are in our car’s ignition too. I did take the rifle from the farm truck to the house though...

Good luck in your new found land of opportunity, hope you get treated well there. I can’t imagine living in a place where you’re running from.

I lived in a small town in northern Kalifornia and It was getting bad there too.

We have been in Tulsa for eight months and it was like taking a step back into the 1970s in a many ways.

Yep, one of the many reasons we are considering moving to West Virginia. My only real worries are if I can make any money there.

Ah, there’s the rub. Poor and satisfied or rich and comprimised.

Goose Creek Symphony had a song in the 70’s “Satisfied Mind”. It spoke to me...

We saved enough money to survive for 6 months without jobs. Luckily, we’ll in a good position financially as soon as our house in AZ sells. We’re chasing the $500 per month mortgage, with everything else paid for. For now, we’re renting a duplex, and we’ll both be looking for jobs in about 2 weeks. My advice is to save your money, pay off any debt and move to where you’re happy. Oh, and build Dodge trucks of course! Next year, I’m going to start looking for a 2nd truck....91.5-93 club cab, 5 speed 2wd, just as a backup truck/tow pig.

Well, I'm not rich, that's why I need to make money.
