Thanks for the rodent advise guys! Poison is a NOGO due to the porch cats. I baited the traps with peanut butter. Nothing yet. Maybe the cats are doing their jobs. I DID cut back their food a bit. I might give a Walk-The-Plank trap a try. Check them out on YouTube. I'll keep you posted.
I read somewhere that well-fed cats catch more mice/rats than under/non fed cats. The theory is that undernourished cats conserve their energy and don't hunt. YMMV

I replaced mthe fan clutch on my truck (2nd Gen motor, radiator and intercooler). I needed a little more clearance between the fan clutch and radiator. The new one came from autozone. Made a wrench from a “nut wacker” (for removing air-cooled VW axle nuts) which happens to be 36mm and broached for 1/2” drive. The nice part about it is, you can hold tension with the breaker bar, and wack the tool with a BFH and it cracks loose with hardly any effort!
I can dig a ditch or throw hay all day long and my back don't hurt near as bad as a 1/2 a day shopping, it has to be something with the just standing and milling around, wife says " how can you cut and split wood for hours but shopping hurts your back"...........I don't know but it does.
It’s because your wallet gets lighter, and your body has to lean a little more to the other side, to counteract the balance being off. Kind of like when you don’t tie your load down in a trailer and everything shifts to one side when you go around a corner....
Put LED turn signals in the brick over the last few days. Amazing difference in visibility.
All worked well, until I changed the last front turn signal on the passenger side. Once I pulled the incandescent out, and put the LED in, my turn signals failed to work if the parking lamps are on. PUt the old bulb back in, and all works fine.
I need to put a resistor in there, or add another incandescent to the housing. Any thoughts as to which one needs it ? The parking light circuit, or the turn signal circuit ?
I can play around with it until I figure it out, but I figured I'd ask ahead of time.
Did you change out the flasher? I’ve got LED taillights from LMC Truck (which work awesome, even with the stock flasher), and haven’t swapped the front turn signal bulbs yet... I know when I bought the LED turn signal bulbs, they recommended a flasher with a ground wire attached to it...
UPS delivered the parts for converting to RR steering on my W250 frame.
I already had the steering box bracket, but could not find the pitman arm.
Ended up buying the entire package from a gent in Illinois.

I've been using that type of electronic type of flasher since I purchased the truck 6 years ago. The only difference is the ones I have don't have a ground wire. I see its LED compatible. Maybe that's the key to it. I'll order one up today.
Again, everything worked normal until the last standard bulb was changed, then no more. Once I have a little time, I'm going to play around with it, adding either a resistor, or a standard bulb in line somewhere.

Tonight I filled her up. I don’t like California as it is, but we just got hit with a $0.20 per gallon tax hike on Diesel. Here’s another reason for me to move East.... This was one of the cheaper stations that I could find, some are at $3.59
Welcome to Canada guys....got to tax everything to pay for that universal health care system....
I filled up the other day at 1.21 per litre....that works out to $4.57 per gallon cdn dollars. With the current exchange rate that works out to about $3.66 USD a gallon.
My driver's side headlight this morning decided it would rather point three feet out in front of me so this afternoon I took the housing apart. The plastic pieces that the adjuster screws thread into for both the height and L/R disingrated when I touched them so for now I used some washers and nylock nuts to hold them. You can't adjust them unless you remove the housing so for now I'll be blinding people untill I can source some replacements.
Oh yeah, diesel in SoCal is $3.25 and I'll be burning quite a bit of it tommorow driving to Glen Helen for the Dubya World Vet motocross race. Braap!

Interesting, That is almost the exact cost of rug in Mexico, after the exchange rate. Does the price of fuel ever go down in Canada? It never goes down here.Mexico is one of the poorest countries in the world and their government owned petroleum company, Pemex, is a monopoly. I fueled up the other day at a Chevron station in Hermosillo, which would seem to belay that, but not when you find out that they have to buy all of their fuel from Pemex. Optics I say...Mark
