You didn't even have to sit there and make the "Vroom, rattle, rattle, rattle" noises.......nice!

Did you have the 4th gen seats in it? Or still the stock bench?

still the stock bench, was cursing myself the whole trip for not finishing the 4th gen seats. they are going to take more engineering than i originally hoped. i built a flat framework to bolt them on top of the stock seat brackets, WAY too tall. so going to scrap that idea and will have to start from scratch to get them basically on the floor.

Thought that must be the case. I've done 10hr plus in my 2nd Gen seats with only a weary feeling.

Hope you get the 4th Gen seats in soon.

Yeah but I had a tin bucket full of marbles just in case it didn't start.
It sure revs quicker now that I switched to the five speed.

just sitting in the 4th gen seats on the floor makes me want them in there. nice having a full backrest and side seat bolsters. they hug you and have lumbar support. i may be 28, but my back is 68. guess i should've taken a little better care of myself...

Never too late. Find a Maximized Living Chiropractor and go with their five essentials program for 3 month. You might be amazed.

Last few weeks I've noticed that my shifting between gears is starting to get a little sketchy. Especially 1st(low) to 2nd...it's like the tranny is not slowing down enough and your grinding them into 2nd....not super fast, but enough to make it a chore. 2nd to 3rd seems good, but 3rd to 4th can bee a little rough.

Seems worse first thing in the morning when everything is cold, been about -5*C so not too cold, but never had problem in the past at super cold temps of -25*C.

I'm hoping it's a clutch issue....I have a clutch of unknown age, and mileage, was in the truck when I bought it 5 years ago. I checked it out when I did the 4wd conversion, and it looked great...no major wear on the clutch surface, or hot spots or evidence of slipping on the pressure plate. So I installed a new TO bearing and put it all back together.

Perhaps the Hyd clutch system is failing? Not getting enough "throw" with the pedal travel?

Tranny rebuild got all new bearing, syncros etc...new fluid. So it "should" be OK...I hope.

Thoughts?

Yeah that is the direction I'm leaning too. Clutch Hyd are of unknown age as well.

Guess I might be saving up for a new clutch and Hyd for the spring. Prefer to get through the winter before tearing everything out. Might have to start double clutching...

First thing I would check would be the clutch cylinders master and slave. my slave had a cracked plastic end that goes against the clutch fork. if that is missing you would lose some throw.
