Would it be safe to run a 14 cm non wastegated with bosch 190s? I know a guy whose got the Banks kit and doesnt have his waste gate hooked up with 190s and he pushes 28-30 psi? I just dont want to blow the head gasket out of my truck cause I cant afford it.

28-30 PSI will not hurt your head gasket. 50-60 might though!!

IMO, yes.

I'm running a waste gated 14 that I've temporarily pinched off the reference hose because I can't get a working controller figured out (I've gotten sidetracked again ) . . . . . . Dave?

Running what you see in my Sig, at WOT, I'm right at 38psig boost.

But I've also got the fuel screw to the point I won't go above 1250*F with an extended full throttle run, and no load (play truck).

I have heard that the 14 housing surges at lower rpms because the turbo is pulling more air in than the engine can really use. Does youre truck do this or is this just a myth? Thanks for everything

Check out THIS thread . . .

I can't believe it has been two years since this was a hot topic . . . dang! I guess I've been virtually associating with you all for a while now. (It's good for me, but you all should be worried! )

This is the one I'm running. It runs me right up to 40 psi and holds it until the truck defuels (or I do).
