    If I do the tube thing- I can get 3/4 long bushings and I would mix some epoxy and install the bushings so nothing would move. Could add a zerk fitting ... just saying. Nothings expensive... requesting your oppinion.

    Good morning,

    I was hoping you could answer a question about door hinges. So I'm reading on the web some thread about how the new Dodge design(88-93) just doesn't hold up. The guy is a retired dodge engineer but he's selling his product.
    I had some thoughts. First my bushings are not horribly worn, but I cannot get a great door latch closing adjustment. I got a dorman kit.. measured everything. Dodge and the kit used oillite bushings. The oillite has to get hot to let the oil out- closing and opening don't do that. Mcmastercar has some which are $1.05/each which are oillite w teflon. I can also go longer on the bushing and cut a piece of steel tubing to go between the lower halves so to give some stiffness and more wear area.
    Option b, I can use a aircraft style aluminum bronze bushing which is much stronger than oil-lite. Probably tolerance d a bit tighter.. may half to ream the final hole up to 0.374 if it crushes slightly on installation.

    We have a 2007 dodge 3500 series started fine to go to work , got home and turned it off , went to start it again and nothing. It wouldn't crank or start . Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be

    Hello, I'm looking for the link to the "sticky Post" on tools and tips for changing a Head Gasket. Also if you can recommend machine shop in Newburgh or Westchester NY area or in Pa to get cylinder head pressure tested, plus possible other work.. Thanks!!

    Hello,
    My name is Thomas. I have a 1992 D250,5.9,12v, 2wd, auto. It was rear-ended on 7/25/15, bent the frame, cracked the dash, etc. The truck ran fine for 4 days afterward. While on the way to meet a wrecker (my son's Mercury broke ball joint) the D250 just dies at 30mph. It will crank but would not start. 4 center dash warning lights (Brake, wait to start,etc) flickered while trying to restart. Power windows will not operate now. No check engine flashing codes , except code 55. Replaced fuel filter. Ran 12v from battery to FSS terminal. I would love to keep this 169,000 mi. truck. Rear-ender's insurance want to total it. Their value $3090.
    I appreciate any advise.

    My daughter has a 2007.5 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with 6.7 cummins. It has see Dealer on the info center. And she went to O'Reilly auto part and they pulled these codes. P200c,P2262,P242f,P2563,P0471. In Nov 2013 someone needed her catalytic cnvrtr,catalytic cnvrtr isolator,exhaust muffler more then she did. So all of that is new. Thanks for auto insurance. I'm a old mechanic that needs help. She doesn't have the $ to take it to the Dealer. Please help my Marine Vet
