Where to buy Rotochoks?

Does anyone know where to get Rotochoks cheaper than $65/each? Thanks.

I've seen these but do you know anyone who has used them? I really like the price but if they don't work that good than it's a waste of time & $. I don't see why they wouldn't work, I just don't know how they would compare. Thanks for the link, too!

Rotochocks can only be purchased from the manufacturer. They have a website but you still have to call them to order. They vary in size/configuration depending on tire size and spacing. A camping buddy has had them for his last two 5ers and really likes them. He had to buy some replacement blocks when he traded trailers because the tire size and spacing was different.

I went a different route, following a suggestion I read on RV.net, and made a set out of 24" carpenters clamps (the sliding pipe type) and pieces of 4x4's. I bored a hole in the pieces of 4x4 to allow the pipe to go through, cut angles on the 4x4's appropriate for the trailer tires, and attached the 4x4's to either end of the clamp. It's a simple matter to slip the clamp between the tires, snug the sliding end up next to the tire and then finish it off with a few turns of the tightening end of the clamp. Total cost was about $25.

I stand corrected. It's been several months since I checked on them. Good to know there's another outlet.

Det 1, do yours hold as good as the Rotochoks? I know they are ALOT cheaper, but my wife 'says' she gets nauseated because of the instability so if I have to spend the big bucks to keep momma happy, then so be it. But if I can spend $25 & get the same result, I'm there!

I can't compare mine directly to Rotochocks because I've never used Rotochocks. However, we have a 34 ft. Carriage Cameo and they hold it very well. I've done a "pull test" with them and even with some moderate pressure I didn't budge the trailer . I was unsure how effective they would be, too, but figured $25 was a relatively inexpensive gamble.

J T strongarms, from what I hear, are very good stabilizers.
My chocks are home made 4x4 and all thread. They do well but do need to be tightened after the tires cool down.

Check out this web site: http://www.propridehitch.com/

He manufactures the newest hitch by Jim Hensley, the inventor of the Hensley Arrow. He does not have the Roto Chocks listed on his website, but he has them. Call the number listed. I don't know the price.

Disclaimer: I have no connection with this business. I dealt with Sean when he was VP at Hensley and he is a straight shooter.

I have had my roto-chock's for three year's and I would say they are worth the money. I also have a small pad lock that I put threw the pin and I think they would blow the tires if they pulled it if someone would try to steal your camper, just tighten when you set up and retighten the next day after the tires cool off.
