TST PM 3 comp

How many of you have had your box turned into the comp version? Will I like the performance? Is it worth the time?
What can I expect?

Re:TST PM 3 comp

Expect a lot more fuel and hp ;D. Along with a side of pump shuddering. The TST PM3 Comp is a hot box... also you will have to take off the EZ when you go to the Comp version because with TST's new software they dont stack well... dont worry you will be making more power without it... you just loose some timing.
Ok. Now I have a 99. Will the Edge Ez work on a 2002. My dad has one and needs more so I would let him have it.

Re:TST PM 3 comp

Hired Gun,

I switched to the PM3 Comp from the regular PM3 a few weeks ago and started a thread in this section about it... it should be 10 or 15 pages back, but it's there. I'm really happy with the switch, and I'm still running it piggybacked with my DD TTPM to give me an even better gain (stacking still works well for me). With the swap I shaved 4 1/2 tenths off my 1/4 mile ET and improved my trap speed by almost 4mph, so it was well worth it. My truck did shudder a fair amount on level 9 when I first installed it, but since I changed my cam the shudder is gone. I guess it's time to turn the box up more now . Overall I would say the reprogram is well worth it!

John

Thats good. We've found that a Puck still works as well. We're looking for independent confirmation that the VA works. The EZ and the Bully Dog are the only two confirmed to not work right now.

Rod

Re:TST PM 3 comp

Rod,

It's working for me, but I can't say it will work for everyone. My truck definitely picks up on the bottom with the DD box on there, and the EGTs are dropped by about 100 degrees throughout most of the powerband. Dad and I are getting ready to try his '02 ETC with the PM3 comp and an EZ, so we'll see how it goes, too.

John
