Thumbs up Edge Comp With TST PM3 Comp???

Sound like a wierd question but can a person run these chips together? I don't want to run them at the same time but I want to know if I can have the ability to turn one off and use the other one with my smarty. Having both chips installed together, will the two chips cause any code problems???? Does the TST need a boost elbow like the Edge??

Dont really know why you would want to do that, the SMARTY/TST stack is really really popular and powerful. Both the comp and the TST do pretty much the same thing. The comp has timing and the TST is just fuel but I would assume both of these boxes would use the same connector somewhere that wouldnt work. The TST is fully adjustable just like the comp.

I think that running the comp and the TST would be like going bird hunting with 2 shotguns, one in each hand, yeah youve got a lot of power, but you couldnt hit the broad side of a barn. Put one gun down, and shoot with both hands. Run the SMARTY/TST stack, its the baddest thing out right now. Yes you will need a boost elbow.

Just sell the comp to offset come cost.

It's just that the smarty smoke is incredibly bad vs the timing from the edge comp (if that makes any sense). Where is the best place (cheapest)to pick up the TST chip in Canada. There is a guy on e-bay that sells the PM3 Comp for $699.00. I just hope the $700.00 is worth the switch???

Well I know with the comp in place you have to use that for timing but why not run the smarty on a lower even number software for daily driving, and run the comp on 1x? for less smoke. And if your looking for top end power then from what I hear no one can touch the smarty/tst.

I think some one with smarty experience could help you more, Im just speaking from what I have read on here

I sold my edge comp to help off set the cost of the tst.. FYI I got a good deal from jetpoilt (Doug) at PDW, P.S. your going to need more air, while you have him on the line, you might as well take care of that also

And you can run the smarty on even softwares if you wanted to run all three. Two boxes and a programmer seems like overkill to me but some people do it.

You can certainly add the TST and use the Comp in EZ mode. That Comp is an expensive EZ box but if you've already got it then you won't have to buy anything else like the Smarty.

If you want power you want a turbo and some big sticks instead of messing around with boxes =P

Twins are the way to go. Took mine off and bought a single - definitely not the thing to do.
