Question TST PM3 Comp Boost Elbow VS. Edge Comp Boost Elbow??

I noticed that the boost elbow that came with the Edge Comp puts out nearly 10 more psi than the TST PM3 Comp's boost elbow!!! Did anyone else notice this? Should I run the one that comes with the Edge Vs. running the TST Comp's elbow to create more boost to lower EGT's or should I just screw the allen key in somemore?? What do you guys think???

43 psi - Edge Comp Non-adjustable boost elbow.
36 psi - TST PM3 Comp Adjustable boost elbow.
The more fuel(Smarty Fueling) I throw at it, the higher the boost goes. Those numbers are TST off and Smarty on SW #7. I haven't tried my TST on any levels yet due to the extreme icy road conditions here. I can't believe I've had my TST PM3 Comp in for 2 weeks and haven't even tried it yet! I don't want to smash up my truck!!!!!

If you're only running the stock HX35, then you should probably stick with the TST elbow and keep your boost at 35psi. Anything beyond that on the stock HX is just making heat and not lowering EGT.

I had 42psi readings with the tst pm 3 level 9 and tst boost elbow. Then I noticed, my trans is slipping like hell, EGT's going way too high, and then I noticed that my stock turbo and intercooler connection tube blew off.

I think I'm sticking with the level three untill I got the DTT trans, new intercooler connections and a bigger turbo.

Thank you.

I so want to wind her out, but oh my lords, it's icy everywhere!!! Going around in circles at 50mph is not as fun as 120mph down the straight.... So the general feeling is to stay with the TST boost elbow??? I guess once I run the TST on max, I will test both....

I see approx. 31-32 max psi with my TST PM3 Comp on 9 with the TST elbow. That's with stock injectors, and the stock HX-35. Seems to me that any higher boost right now won't do any good the way I'm set up.

Moose10, those boost levels seem to be pretty low?? I'm just wondering if more boost off a stock HX 35, the better the EGT's will be?

35psi is pretty much the max boost you want to run on the stock HX35. Above that, it's out of it's efficiency range and will be adding more heat to the intake air charge, which offsets the purpose of additional boost.

When I still had my HX35, I could just peak out at 35 and it would fall back to 32-33 on a sustained run.

I'll buy your short shifter when you go for the 3rd Gen.
As far as the boost level goes seeming low, i don't know really. I've got nobody else with the same setup around here to compare with. I've never adjusted the set screw on the fooler, but like I said I really don't think that without more fuel, or a bigger turbo that an extra 2 or 3 psi would give me anything except more heat.

Ahh!!! Too busy watching the pyro to notice if I'm getting more boost than 40 psi on level 9. I tried her on level 9 finally or shall we say level "SHUDDER"!!! Out of this world!!!! I thought the edge comp was the cats meow but this TST PM3 Comp is the Devil.(In a good way!)

Dodgediesel: That's right, tease that trans, kill it.

I was pretty surprised when you said that you could only do 30+ psi or something but now it seems more reasonable.

So, wich box is better? It seems that everybody is using edge, but I bought TST because the reputation, never seen or tried the edge.
