Need New Shocks

I'm needing some shocks and I don't want to spend an arm and a leg.

I can get Rancho 5000's installed at SEARS for $215.00 out the door ( their offering FREE installation ).

OR.....

I can get Monroe Reflex for $400.00 out the door at a local muffler shop.

And everywhere else I call is more expensive than this....

I know Rancho 5000s get a bad rap...but, is this a good deal ( if you don't want to do it yourself ) ????

[ FYI....I know all about Rancho 9000s, but nobody stocks them locally and especially not for $215 installed ]

I would appreciate any comments....

I would avoid both of the two you have mentioned.

I would suggest Bilstien's or KYB Monomax's.

Second that. Didn't have any luck with either Rancho 5K's or 9K's, on a CTD or a Jeep. The KYB Monomax's on the CTD and the Bilsteins on my wife's Tacoma 4x4 are doing great.

I like how the procomps handle. Just stay away from the MX-6 "I" dont like them at all. But all the other Procomp shocks are great and the Steering stabs too.

Dont get the Monroes. They might last you to the store and back.

I like the price of the procomp 9000s from Summit Racing....

I think this is where I'm headed.

And just for laughs....

My local Big Ten Tire wanted to charge me $489.00 for 4 Reflexes installed.

RRRRRRIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHTTTTTTT!!!!!

Bilstein... For ~$50 each, you can't beat the 5100/5125's!

I wish I had found them before I spend the same amount of money on an inferior twin-tube shock.
