Edge HOT juice question..

i have a question regarding the hot code.... i was told from one person that i have to send the entire setup to edge to have them put it in... and from another person that i just have to call edge and have the code given to me... im currently out of town right now, and dont have the serial number for it, but i will be home shortly, and would like to make it HOT... any input??

thanks, Jared

I'm pretty sure on the comp, you send it in, on the juice, you call.

On my 2001, I called them with the serial number, they faxed me a release to sign, and called back with a number code.

That wasy for mine,
Rick

It all depends on your model of attitude moniter, some have the option to just enter the hot unlock code and some dont offer that option which you have to send it into edge. You can also download the release form off of there webpage. Also in the menu scroll all the way down and it should say enter hot unlock code, if that is not there then you have to send it in.

FYI all juice w attitudes made for 98.5-2002 cummins trucks have a hot unlock code, no need to send in. If you guys remember or were around back then, the Juice w Attitude only came out last year for our years of truck so the juice w attitudes are the new updated style where you simply enter the hot unlock code. Some of the older juices for 2003 up cummins and other makes like Ford and GM that came out years ago you have to send in the Juice Module just like you have to send in a comp module.

That statement is not entirely true. The software version shipped for BETA testers did not have the Hot mode listed in the menu. You had to swap the attitude out for one with the updated software to be able to enable Hot mode.

For the record, I love the hot mode. I drive in 6 all the time.

It doesn't really change your RPM range but it allows you to give full fuel right to 3200rpm rather than starting to cut back fuel at 27-2800rpm then shutting the tap off at 3200rpm. Basically allows you to get to your peak RPM faster than on 5. You'll notice the difference more in the higher gears at the top end.
