Before you go spending your dough on something else why not call TST and see if they will get you squared away? They did for me. Mark doesn't like to here of his products failing!

All they told me was that it was a rare internal failure. I got a new box back and was on my way.

It seemed to me that over time I was gradually losing power from the box. I used to run it on 5 all the time and that was more than enough to have fun with and still stay cool. As a month, then two passed I found myself bumping it up until finally I was at 9 and couldn't get the pyro any hotter than 1500* whereas before I could peg my 1800* gauge with it on 9....

Long story short I sent it to Mark and it bench tested fine. They put it on their truck though and it flopped. They sent me a new box and I have been ever since!

Good to hear. This is exactly why I decided not to go back with edge after my ez failed (only thing working was the map) It was past warranty but the replacement offer not that ideal.

The TST is still the hottest box. Stack it with a smarty (do a search for smarty please) and you'll be all smiles.

Check for codes first. Try autozone.

Could it be a VP-44 issue? Sounds like symptoms of it dying. Take off the TST and see if you are still having the same symptoms.

Also make sure all your electrical connections are solid and corrosion free especially the ground.

after talking with mark at tst products, my tst power max 3 is not dead. it seems that i had a build up of oil or something on my map sensor and that was not sending what ever signal to tst box to tell the injector pump to throw it more fuel, anyway, pulled out sensor cleaned it (for now untill i can pick up a new one) and problem fixed.

Glad to hear you got squared away.

See, and you were prepared to drop $500+ for something you didn't need!
