1st gen injectors?

I have a late 91 12v with the 5 spd. It already has the pump turned up and a free flowing intake and straight exhaust. I was thinking of getting new injectors to make some more power. Does anyone have some good experiences with certain injectors or an idea of what injectors I should be looking for. The truck is driven daily but not used for any extreme duty work.

Do you have the intercooler? If you like smoke go with the PODs Prince of Darkness injectors. Usually some on ebay. If smoke's not your thing I heard the Bosh ones don't smoke too bad.

Best bang for the buck is POD's. Like Hobie said, there are cleaner injectors out there but the price is higher. The Bosch 190's are supposed to be pretty clean. The POD's tend to haze at idle, especially in cold weather. The POD's will also hurt your in-town fuel economy a little bit.

Not to hijack or anything, actually for someone in the market for new injectors it applies, SOOO, is this hazing I`ve heard about tend to be sort of a bluish type of smoke? I ask because as soon as the weather turned cold I have noticed that my truck will very slightly smoke if it idles for a while or the engine is cold (but cold startup blue smoke is normal...correct?). I put my POD`s in just before the cold weather hit, and i did`nt notice the blue untill the temps dropped. Otherwise i love em

Yep, that's hazing. Mine don't do it too bad, you can barely see it unless the light is right. The only time it's obvious is when I'm sitting at a light after dark amd the wind blows the haze past my headlights.

LOL At night, mine's like a factory, I'll have to get a picture sometime when the light's on it, if you've ever seen a movie where the semi's are smokin even at idle, that's what it looks like. Get's annoying though if it's aimed back at you. Makes the eyes water.

Yea, it does have the intercooler. Thanks for the info. I love my smoke, I trimmed the factory airbox to see if it would get me better mileage(only got about 1 mpg more) but hey I'm gettin 17 in town now so I think i can handle a little less mileage. Any idea what kind of power I can expect from the pod's?
