I plan to be there with my daughter. Not 100% sure what we will drive down, but we plan to be there for the whole show.

I spoke with Island Bill today and he is talking about booking his hotel room still. They book up fast so always a good idea to reserve one early.

Carlisle 2026

Glad to hear I will not be the only one coming.
Last year we talked about forming a club called DTR. Well in my spare time I found link on the carlisle site and sent the following email:

Hello!
We just got back from the chrysler nationals and a question came up. We are a group of 8 diesel trucks that come to your show every year. One member has come for 18 straight years and I have come for the last 5 years with others some where in between. We are in 3 different classes in the judged show field. This year we won 3 2nd places and 1 3rd place.
What is involved in becoming a club?
If we enter as a club can we still be in the judged show field?
Is there a club fee to enter?
What is the cost of the large tent?
These are a few questions I will pass along to my friends with more to follow later I am sure.
If you get a chance please get back to me.
Thank You!
Mike Mazepa

Well three months later I get the following response:

Hi Mike,
I'm so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. At the time you emailed me, we were past the point of club submissions. That being said, now that the show is over, you are welcome to apply your club! The first step is to submit an application by going to https://carlisleevents.com/the-showf...egister-a-club. Once your application is submitted, I will go approve your club for Truck Nationals. Your club would then appear in the club dropdown when registering for the showfield. Then the following happens:
1. As a new club, you must get 15 people registered under your club name by the Gate-N-Go deadline of June 15th to be eligible to purchase a club tent (20x20).
2. The club tent at Truck Nationals also includes some parking around the tent based on your numbers at Gate-N-Go.
3. If you hit 20 members registered by Gate-N-Go, you would get 25% off the tent price. If you hit 25 members by that deadline, you would get a FREE club tent. If you hit any of those numbers after the fact, you would qualify for it for the following year!
You will be getting my email communications for club reminders moving forward, so you are aware of the deadlines and any other important information! Please reach out if you have any questions 🙂

So my take is since most of my questions were not answered is to keep doing what we are doing. Hang out with Oliver and Charlotte and keep wining awards.

If anyone wants to follow up email Sabrina.

Then again there are not many posts to see around here anymore.

I usually start planning the next years trip on the way home from the show.
It is not like I have many other vacations in my year to plan for!

My stuff is never finished.

I'm just trying to find something positive to look forward to during this season of ice and snow.

been pretty dry here in the armpit. Not much precip, but still cold

Our place in VT has plenty of snow and ice. Ollie will agree, im sure.

My favorite day of the year is Carlisle.

Sighting of Ollie, Tim and the Tan Turd are a welcomed ritual

The wife and I will be there again with the "Orange truck". Not sure if my kids will be there with the beat up RamCharger. I need to look for hotels soon, so we don't have to drive and hour back and forth.

Hotel was booked last month. I will be there Thursday to Saturday same as last year. Will register next month.
I have a few more goodies for you again this year when I finish my cleanup.
On a side note I added a 24 valve breather to my timing cover and what a difference. Runs cooler and stopped 75% of my oil drips.
Can not wait till July!

Nice, the 24V breather on a 12V timing case is a cheap yet worthy upgrade. I did the same to my ‘98 12V

Looking forward to hanging at the show with you and the DTR crew again!

I plan on being there Friday morning.

I haven't looked at the website, but I'll guess its the same classes as last year.

Well after the winter hibernation, I hooked the battery back up, and she fired up like it was running yesterday. I plan to be there Friday and Saturday. We may just commute, hotel prices are crazy.
