2nd gen injectors in a 1st gen??
Can this be done, at low cost??
I am talking about 180's in a 1st gen with 7mm injectors in it now (94 head).
Injectors from a 96.
What is the difference on the hook up?
Thanks in advance.

I know the injector body is different for the bigger nut on the injector lines for the P-pump. As well as the pop pressure being different.
I'm not sure, but I've heard that you can take some of the parts out of the 2nd gen injector and put them in your injectors with the nozzles you want. If you had a set of injectors out of 96 you might be able to set them up yourself if you have a pop tester or if you have a good shop that can do it.

That is correct. If you have a set of 1st gen injectors and a set of 2nd gen injectors, the nozzles and guts from the 2nd gen injectors can be put in the 1st gen bodies. The pop pressure has to be reset lower for the 1st gen pump, and flow rates will be lower than the injector would flow on a 2nd gen.
