for best concealment, use an IWB holster. the grip will be the hard part to conceal. barrel length is easy as it just runs down inside your pants. for best concealment you need to watch out for a long grip and double stack configuration. Find someone who will let you try on a few different rigs

I carried for aboput 14 years and had all kinds of trouble finding somethign that worked, I am 5'11 and a 175lbs sopping wet...
finally gave up and carried a Walther PPK 380 stainless in a flatpancake on teh righ thip or in Bianchi nylon ankle holster depending on what i was wearing.
I winter i could get away with carrying my issue SW645, but only if I didnt take my coat off

Couldnt agree more.. if you have to "dig it out", your probably better off not carying at all..
it dont do no good if you cant get it out, on target and deliver the force required in a timely fashion

less than obvious carry

I carry a Tarus Titaniun .38 in the small of my back. Uncle Mikes makes a small revolver holster that fits just right. I've had to use it twice and had no problems with the presentation of the weapon. Rember one well placed shot is worth 15 misses. I had a buddy that bought an item called Thunderwear. The weapon was stored in the front of his.....well lets just say that I don't want a loaded weapon there.

I think the best advice is to find clothing in a style you are comfortable with that allows more concealability and range of motion, but won't hang up on you if you need your weapon fast. The high hip and small of back location are easiest for me as I live in a generally cool climate that allows for an over shirt most of the year. I weigh 235 but am 6'4 so i dont have any odd bulges. Some of the best spots to conceal aren't the most comfortable and some of the most comfortable and easily accessed don't conceal well. I know a guy who packs a mini glock in his cowboy boot at all times, but you have to like cowboy boots to pull this one off! And wear them daily. There are some jeans that are designed to carry the pistol in a reinforced pocket. Try the Dillon website. I think I just saw them in the latest 'Blue Press'. Good Luck, Kurt

If only they made the .40 in a magnum round. Oh wait they do, a 10mm!

Too bad only a couple companies still make them. The Glock 29 is a whole lot of firepower with 10+rds of 10mm in a subcompact frame.

I use a Uncle Mikes IWB to carry my Springfield 1911 fullsize on occasion, generally I carry my Glock 21 .45 in a Galco IWB, that way if a Denver LEO decides to impound my pistol they do not get my 1911. I do have a CCW.

Depending on circumstances, I carry a S&W 640 Centennial or a Sig 220 in Kramer paddle holsters or the 640 in a Kramer pocket holster. IMO the finest carry holsters and belts made.www.kramerleather.com
