Pocket Pistols

I'm in the market for a "pocket pistol" to carry during the times when it just isn't feasible to strap on my Glock 22 (work, church, etc.). It needs to be small, slim, lightweight and at least .380 caliber (I don't want a .32 or .25). I'd prefer an auto because I don't really like the bulk of a wheel gun, but I'm not completely opposed to revolvers.

Any suggestions??

I carried a Walther PPK-S .380 as an ankle gun for years and loved it.
very light-wieght, reliable gun, though I had to have the feed ramp polished and ground, as it initialy had a hard time feeding any type of soft nosed round, due to a very steep ramp angle. I replaced the hard plastic grips with Pachmyers as well.

...If you've ever felt compelled to "pack heat" while going to church ... you might be a redneck.

My carry is a Colt .380 Mustang plus II. Carrys well conceiled in pocket, or inside the waist band.

Pocket pistols

Hoss,
I had an AMT "Backup" .380 several years ago that was a perfect pocket pistol; it shot well, fed almost any brand and style of ammo I put through it, and was pretty accurate for a small semi-auto. I know some folks that have had the Colt Pony in .380 as well, and they were happy with that. There have been many different kinds since then, but I have no experience with them so won't bother mentioning them. Good luck.

AMT 45 is compact and can fit nicely into any pocket.

Very well put. I was just setting here trying to decide how to respond to HOSS and he's need to take a gun to church. Maybe we need to know what kind of church he was referring to.

Funny...but in today's society...

Wasn't too long ago that some dude went into a church here in my area and killed a bunch of kids in the youth group.

I should add that I'd like to spend less than $300 on this gun. That pretty much rules out any Colt that I've ever seen....although they are great guns.
