Pistols, how do you carry?
If I don't want the sledge hammer showing, this one usually accompanies me to those other locations.

Colt Commander in a Milt Sparks VM-II IWB (normally)
I wear a sleveless T shirt and an unbuttoned cover shirt over it.

I wear a Galco Miami Classic shoulder rig when on the road.
All magazines are Wilson 8 rounders.

I would also suggest that you not go around open carrying if you have your CHL unless you want to end up like the Pizza Guy in Toledo.....
When I used to carry I carried the Glock 26 9mm inside the waste ban with a soft clip on holster up front (empty tube).
Carried 17 round mag as the spare mag in my left pocket.
Just had a t shirt untucked and no one could ever tell. Now that I weigh more it might be a little harder to do.
The mini glock was by far the most comfortable to carry. I carried an officers model 1911 and mid size glock. The mini was by far the best all around for comfort and with 27-28 rounds of fire power on hand you can't go wrong.

So am I the ONLY poor sucker that just tucks his pistol into the waistband of his pants????
I bought my Springfield Armory Micro-Compact .45 SPECIFICALLY for the act of concealed carry, 3 years before we ever had a such laws on the books.
When I first started carrying, I felt "Gangster-ish" for just shoving it in my waistband, but after about 3 years of doing it like that, I honestly doubt that I would want a holster! For me it works pretty well. I'm just fat enough that my gut helps push out my untucked T-shirt far enough to keep from imprinting. I don't go anywhere without it.

A holster helps smooth out some of the edges of the pistol.
I carry a Glock 23 in a Galco IWB holster and Wilderness instructor belt. BIG props to the Wilderness belt. It's perfect at what it does... I have a hard time wearing other belts when I'm not carrying.
I always have to wear an undershirt for comfort, but any baggy untucked shirt conceals it well in summer or winter. I usually wear cargo shorts or jeans.
IWB is the most tactically available way to carry, unless you're going to open carry your six-shooter.
