truck won't turn over

My 92 will not start. I turn the key on, the glow plugs cycle, then I try to start it. A load metalic click can be heard from the fender well and that is it. I tested the starter. It works and is putting of 200 amps, which is high. Please advise.

Did you try shorting across the starter?

I would verify that the engine will turn over manually.

like haulin said turn it over by hand if you can. ive had a cat motor do that and it was the cylinder liners corroded and coolant seeped in.

thanks for the info. The power cable that ran to the starter was terribly corroded down inside the insulation out of sight. The terminals were corrosion free. Cleaned it up and fired it up.
