I went out to start my '02 this morning and it wouldn't turn over. all the gauges or acting normal
I checked all the fuses and couldn't find anything wrong. batteries seemed to be charged. I drove all day yesterday without any problems. Any Ideas?

Did you check the voltage on the batteries? When mine went bad, it started one day and not the next. How about the starter...wirs, etc?

Can you hear the LP run when you turn the key on?

replaced the batteries(with ones i had, But I know are good), no good. checked the starter wiring everything looks good, banged on it with a hammer for good measure. still nothing. dunno about the LP (lift pump?) I can can hear humming for a second or two when i turn the key on. This is my first diesel and i've only had it for three months so I'm still learning. It only has 46000 miles on it. Are the starters prone to going haywire on Cummin's?

The humming is the LP priming.
Standard or auto? You might check the clutch position switch if it's a standard.

I don't know. At least it's still in warrenty.

Had it towed to the dealer this morning, come to find out there is a anti-thieft chip installed thats lets you pull the chip so the truck won't crank. It was installed by the dealer where I bought the truck. It shorted out.
