CKP SENSOR and code P1690

This is another post and plea for some help. I replaced the CKP Sensor, That stopped the engine and tach from accelerating up and down on its own. but now it seemed to take out my OD and cruise. Cleared the P0336 , Now get p1693 and then two times P1690

P1690 says :Fuel injection pump CKP sensor does not agree with ECM CKP sensor

I really don't know anything about ECM CKP SENSOR. Maybe the CKP sensor I put in is bad, but it helped. don't figure thought I had it. Is There any help out there?

Give the specifics of your truck.
Then besides the error codes, what is wrong. No acceleration, missing? What is the truck doing. Do you have a fueling box on the engine?

Sorry , I have a 1998 !/2 24 valve 2500, stock. Seems like very poor power in beginning, does goe through the gears. First - third, no OD, good acceleration in the third gear ,but don't want to go over 50 mph , my tach reads abouy2200 rpm.
Engine runs and idles smooth. also no power when kick down to lower gear.
no OD and No TCC. still throws the code P1690 and once the P0336 came back again with the new CKP SENSOR. I'm stumped . any help?

p1690 is a code in the companion module. You have to remember you have a Cummins ECM and a DC JTEC controller. The JTEC handles the transmission funtions that are electrical related.

Does that mean I still have a ckp problem, I still have thrown the P0336 code
Maybe a bad sensor from the dealer? and would that cause my TCC and OD to go out?

Thanks J BODY , I thought I might have to threaten to burn my truck , to get some attention around here. Maybe I'll let a POWER STROKE GUY DO IT!
I appreciate your help Thanks

I cleaned al my connections, now it will lock up for just a little as I let up on the pedal, then it locks out , may hunt for awhile and thats all I get . But at least I solved the CKP problem . I think mabe the TPS is throwing the timing off.
I still get the P1690 code,

ANY HELP? or should I have yhe POWER STROKE GUY LIGHT UP MY TCD?

I checked the ones I can see or know about, all seems tight and clean. I'm in Las Vegas so not much rust or moisture. I'm starting to lean towards the APPS. I'm going to check today. If Tthe APPS is bad, could the EMJAY controller help? I'd rather put a controller in for $500 than give dodge $470 for this sensor. I'd rather spend the money and learn , then give the money to DC.

Thanks for the help.

The lockup/hunting sounds like the APPS.
