Change lift pump filter, won't start
Just change the lift pump filter. Now the thing won't start.
I drained some fuel from the canister before I changed the filter. Replaced the filter, then went to crank it. I noticed the pump didn't kick on before I tried to start and thought that was odd. No I'm guessing I've got air in the lines and have no clue how to bleed them.
I tried loosening the lid on the lift pump canister to get as much air as I could out there, but that apparently wasn't enough.
What did I do wrong? More importantly, how do I fix it?

You dont have to bleed the pump its self bleeding. If you didnt hear the pump then bump the key forward like your going to start it but dont start it. Listen the pump should run for atleast 25 seconds. Might be dumb to ask but did you shut the valve before you tried to start it.

I did shut the valve, but I don't think it sealed. I think it's sealed now, but still won't start. I can hear the pump running when I do what you said, but still won't start. Now what?

Just a plain ole guy
You need to bleed the air out of the lines. I loosen a line on the filter canister, have my son turn the key to on but don't start. When fuel comes out, I close the line. The I loosen another line at the #3 injector, cause it's eay to get to. He bumps key again. When fuel comes out, tighten the line. Thedn, it usually cranks but run rough for about 10 seconds. As long as one or two cylinders get air, the motor will run enough to pump the air out of the rest of the injector lines.

Along the valve cover, on the right side, I could see the injector lines.
I cracked the one closest to the grill and tried that bump start technique you mentioned. After 2 or 3 times, I saw a little dibble of fuel.
Couldn't get to the second one with my wrench, so I did the same to the 3rd and 4th ones back.
Cranked it for about 5 secs and she's purrin' like a kitten again.
