I'm sure it's good oil but it's why I run Delo!

DELO = Diesel Engine Lubricating Oil (real creative, huh?)
DELVAC = Diesel Engine Lubricant, VACuum oil co.
The Vacuum Oil Co. was absorbed in the early 1930's by what eventually became Exxon/Mobil. The Delvac name had strong recognition so they kept it around.
I don't know where the Rotella name came from. Since it only dates from the early '70's it was probably thought up by a committee.
