I don't recommend sniffing your boxers , and ATF gives you terrible BO if it gets on your nether regions , but any engine oil makes for a decent cologne...

At least here's someone else that LOVES the smell of Power Service! What's in that stuff? Castor Oil? Stanadyne has that yummy smell too..., but without all the stoddard solvent.

Hot, fresh Rotella smells like a MAN's brand of oil...
Just like freshly brewed coffee, the "aroma" goes away after it gets a little old... Actually, it smells somewhat like "plasticizer" in vinyl plastic.

Worst smelling oil had to be TEXACO Havoline SAE 30.. Smelled like something 4-legged DIED in each can!

am I the only one that takes a big ol whiff off the pump every time they fuel up?

I'm tellin' ya, down where I live, the fuel has to have a lot of additive in it because it smells like Power Service! people give me funny looks when I stand there and take a few deep breaths off the pump nozzle before I fuel up

Me and some co-workers went to a local strip joint after work one day. A couple of us had gotten diesel on us at work earlier in the day, and you know how hard it is to get the diesel smell off of your clothes. Anyway, one of the ladies came over and sat at our table. She was really curious as to what cologne (diesel smell) we were wearing because she really liked it. I told her it was Deesell #2, and it was sold by the gallon. I bet she is still trying to figure out what we were all laughing about. I guess its a good thing we didn't spill Rotella on us before going in.

I have always used Rotella and I do not mind the smell.
I like the smell of diesel fuel but not the old high sulphur kind; I even like the smell of the exhaust but not enough to plumb it into the cab so I can sniff more comfortably.

Using that logic, you must drive a gasser, huh?

I've used Rotella in all my diesels for the last 15 years. I love the smell it puts off.

I've thought of extending the blow-by tube long enough to reach the cab.

Well, since not one of the poll choices is neutral,(can't smell it) a normal person, with full cognitive reasoning, can only conclude you are being sarcastic. Your poll is flawed and devoid of any true objectivity.

You should have asked me to design a FAIR poll.

If you can't smell fresh Rotella when you get out of a warm truck, your nose is defective. You are ipso facto abnormal. I stand by my poll options.

Well then, I may be "smeller challenged" but that only means (according to the Americans With Disabilities Act) I am disabled and I need poll access. You have discriminated against my nose!
