hookin tonight

I'm pullin the sled for the second time tonight. At the county fair, the track is usually real hard so I don't know what gear to run yet but I've got plenty of time to watch and decide, the diesels are the last class of the night. I'll let yal know how it goes hopefully not bad. And if it does go bad, it'll be a good oppurtunity for some clutch improvement.

Hard track = traction = input shaft breaking. Easy starting off.....

Just got home, man the track was actually really good for our fair. I went 298'6" for 14th place. First place went 322'. I pulled 2nd low. Thanks for the offer Dave, I was worried about it because it slipped prettt bad the first time I pulled but tonight it barely did at all. I almost stalled off the line, but it picked back up and left one heck of a cloud all the way down the track. I think next year I'll have saved up enough for a newer better clutch and I think I'm gonna go down a tire size but a more aggressive tread. Between that and my new turbo, I think I can run third. BTW, still don't have the turbo on, I'm getting the backing plate from hertz.

Man, if you got 14th with almost a full pull the sled was too light. That's way too many trucks in the pull-off. Were you the highest place truck that didn't get a full pull?

wow! 298.6 feet in 2nd low, yeah I would have to say wannadiesel is right, the sled was way to light.

Yea, the sled was a little light I think, but we also got a quick shower before the class that helped the track out alot. They usually set 315' as a full pull but we were supposed to be done by midnight so they went with the floating finish.
