Talking Hookin' a Powerjoke

Earlier today, I pulled into the apartment complex behind a guy drivin a Ford 250 Powerjoke. I got out, and he asked me how I liked the ride on my Jeep? ( moms jeep) I said, oh its fine, pretty smooth. I said, how you like the Powerstroke? He looked and said, oh let me tell you, it has the best power, and it will pull anything I want it to with no problem. I said is that right? I said, I'll hook you with my Cummins and drag you down the street. His eyes got big, and he paused for a minute, then said, well, you know that Ford got a better rating than Dodge did. I replied, oh thats good, but it doesnt mean much when it comes to hookin'. Thought I'd share that with you guys. What do you think about hookin? Ever done it?

Make sure you hook to a higher point on your truck and a lower point on his, this will add to your traction and less to his

weight, limited slip and height mean more than ratings anyways. and this is a fantastic way to put a nice big dent in your truck and/or your skull.........

Hehe- we're gonna read in the papers: Two trucks with dead drivers wreaking havoc in town. Mystic sect forces members to have chains through their heads- you'll even feature in "extreme piercing news"

haha. Yeah, if I did hook, that would be my luck. I wouldnt hook anyone, for fear or screwing up my truck. Plus, you dont use a super long chain. just enough for a few feet between the two trucks, not enough to swing around and hit you.

There is a dealership (Ford) up here that held a truck pull contest when Ford came out with therenew ratings. The GM pulled the Ford! Then the Dodge guy's heard about this and brought there ram down and it pulled both the Ford and the GM out of the dealership lot. There was some serious rubber put down but the Ram won in the end. The Ford burned a set of holes right threw the ashpalt.

thats a problem with a pull off, its not about power or tourqe or anything, it only is a show of traction!

Gear ratio and weight also have a big influence also. Trust me, I know from experience.

This is pretty common down South in the HS. When son comes home and casually says " hey dad 'ya think your Dodge could out pull Tommy's dad's PS??? His dad thinks the Cummins is a throw back from the '50's"
"well sonny, 'ya tell Tommy's dad it's no contest...DCTD rule"

A little while later son says " hey dad can I take the truck to school Friday, their having a dance after school?" "no .......way take the Neon". Think I haven't been around the horn??

Just hold the brakes until he starts spinning, then put it down!
