Switched from Diablo to Edge. Overhead display of mileage ?

When I made this switch the diablo byitself was showing 24mpg cruising on the high way at 70 with cruise on. Now I have taken out the diablo completely and tried the edge on all levels but its saying 17mpg high way at 70. Why such a big change? How accurate is this? Also is the hot a level 6 or is it still 5 levels but it changes the last one? cause its supposed to be the hot version but I only have level 0-5. 0 being stock..

Thanks!
Nick

HOT on an 05 is 5 levels, the 5th level being 180hp.

The overhead isn't accurate anyway. Hand calculate mileage and see what it really is.

You guys notice that the juice runs rougher then the diablo? On level 5 if im moderatly accelerating and let off it sounds as if the turbo blows off twice.. kinda odd, sorta sounds like I pumped the gas pedal. You guys have this problem? also it sometimes takes a second to switch between levels, ill press the button to go to say 4 and it sometimes doesnt switch right away... Just wondering.

Smile Turbo cough!

At higher settings and with rocket like accelleration you cannot decellerate the engine abruptly without "turbo-cough." This is a condition where the spool-turbine has inertia and the abrupt decelleration causes the spool to shudder. My resource tells me that such a repeated condition can cause spool bushing/bearing damage and eventually even snapping the turbo shaft in half. It is best to leave a little throttle on when shifting and making the shifts more smooth.

Ok.. Got another question for ya. On level three at 60mph laying into the throttle easy to full throttle the truck pulls through the rpms nicely but on level 4 or 5 it slows down at about 2500 rpm for a sec and the juice isnt saying im getting slip. The most slip I have seen is about 7% dont think that would be much of a seat of the pants difference. If im on level 5 and switch to level 4 while its doing this the rpms jump up and it continues to pull. I dont really understand whats going on. Maybe running out of fuel or something? Still does this when I disable the backdown aswell. I was thinking if switching back to the diablo and adding the power puck. It was sooooo smooth compared to edge and much more smoke. Just dont want to loose the safety features..

i recently got a diablo predator and i also noticed the mpgs went way up,i think its the way the diablo fuels it dosnt take much pedal to get her moving and it fools the computer into thinking its not using much,i have a scangauge and it shows throttle position and engine load, with the diablo the load went way down and also the throttle postion too,it tells my scangauge im getting over 35mpgs,before the diablo the scangauge was pretty acurate now its way off,i love the diablo,my truck runs very smooth.

How are your egt temps? Only reason I wanted the edge was for the safety features but it seems its more trouble then its worth. Do you keep your extreme stack tune in all the time or no?
