I just punched in my vin and it says status incomplete. I absolutely hate taking my vehicles to the dealer for anything. Is there any reason at all that they would need to drive my vehicle to fix this?

Cool thanks. Mine does show "Incomplete"
Anybody had this done? What should I ask for when taking the truck to the dealer? The PDF says the dealer will replace the parts free of charge "If needed". I have read here about the upgraded steering. Is this what they will replace? Should I get them to make sure the parts "Are needed"? If so how?

chad,
take your truck in and they will run a (VIP report) and it will tell them if your truck is in deed due for the repairs. they will tell you what is needed to be replaced. if you want, email me your VIN and I can contact my buddy at a local dodge dealer and he will run the report.

most of our trucks will show "incomplete" unless you have had the upgraded steering installed. after the inspection, the dealer will clear the recall in the system and then it will show completed.
This recall will only apply if you have the Mopar upgraded steering linkage installed in the first place. If this was not done in the past, the dealer will not be doing anything to your truck. They just want to inspect it to see which linkage your truck has. If you have the old, non-upgrade linkage, they will not do a thing and will update the recall status to "complete".
