Re:Recall already? :-(

It appears the old nemesis of turbo hoses not being tightened properly has resurfaced, too. How long does it take to get that one right.

What was the old definition of lunacy?
"Doing the same thing over and over the same way and expecting different results!!!!"

ps: I really think it is caused from stuffing Bambi in the engine compartment to get by the game warden.

Re:Recall already? :-(

I haven't received any word on this, but I'm sure not happy to hear about it. [undecided] Have not had any problems yet, so I will keep my fingers crossed and wait for something from DC...

Re:Recall already? :-(

There is no information on 2003 Dodge Ram. Checked Dodge web site, Ask Jeeves. There is a current recall on 4.0 L Jeep Wrangler, 2000-2002.

Re:Recall already? :-(

DC probably has it taken care of at the factory. Seems this was only for the very first out the door from what I can gather.

Hunter

PADZZ - Give us the poop, man! What's the recal for, and what are the VIN's or other identifying characters? My dealer doesn't acknowledge any recalls yet?! :-[

Re:Recall already? :-(

TWZMYJP- He just got my VIN, put it in the computer, and my truck info came up. Showed recall on it. He said the recall came out Monday and that we, the consumer, should be getting mailers in a couple weeks. It was concerning the fan torque as mentioned earlier. That's all I got. OUT

Re:Recall already? :-(

Gerry,

There is no 305 HP with auto. That is the HO and is only available with 6 speed. The new auto capable of handling that much power will not be available until sometime next year. That is why it kicked it out. You have to go lower output for auto.

If you want the power, you have two alternatives: 1) 6 speed HO, or 2) auto w/standard engine, then install OEM tranny mods and engine mods. You will quickly exceed the ratings of the HO that way. However, you also can get the good ole boys at the local Dodge dealer a little angry if you want warranty work.

Bob
