What happened to all those miles Ford put on the SD to make sure they were reliable?

In regards to the second link you posted... how many of you don't smell the nozzel before filling up your truck? I don't give a flying rats behind on how I look to others when they see me sniffing the nozzel, but im not about to screw up and put gas in my tank... Partly that guys fault if thats the case...

Even if you don't smell the nozzle you can easily tell the difference in gas and diesel just standing there. Smelling the nozzle is smart. Better safe than sorry.

Man, there sure seems to be a lot of hostility over at that "other" site. I'm not saying we're better, but I dont think I've seen any "flaming" on this site except maybe once or twice between the smarty and non-smarty guys throwing rocks at each other

If this site becomes like that one I will never be back. Good Gracious..... Thank goodness Top keeps everyone inline. Hence, this thread will probably be shut down. What happens on thedieselstop stays on thedieselstop so to speak.

I think it's a smart marketing move by F**d... imagine all the shipping costs they can save by recalling the injectors before the customers even have a chance to take delivery of them in the new engines!

Wow those guys are really worried about the 6.4's reputation aren't they?
that's a funny thread not because of the bad luck by the poster but all the responses from the other guys

I usally run a little on my finger then smell it. A guy I go to church with filled up at a chain staion at the diesel pump and got Gas instead. Since then I always check it before I fill up.

So has anyone heard about the 08 Fords with the new twin-turbo diesel. In order to get the engine out the entire cab of the truck must be taken off!

I think so, I have seen pictures of it, just don't recall where I found them. Hey 74dart, do you know any of the Bridges from down there in Polkville?

Had to start chuckling to myself when they are waiting till there is a few 6.4l's with some miles on them, like about 20K before they decide if they are any good LOL . Someone else wanted to see 'alot' of miles towing, like 40 to 60K before he bought one . Guess thats one way to improve cutomer satisfaction, really lower the bar on expectations. Now if I could just get more than a year out of those darned transfer pumps......

gotta laugh at em..
