Qzilla xzt ???'s

I got the Banks in the mail. Long story short. Good friend in need bought it off me. So since I search out deals. I am waiting for another banks to come around at a good price. So I bought off eBay a xzt. I have not yet recieved it. If you do not believe me PM me and I will send you link to auction link or the serial number when it arrives. Yes it is brand new. Since I have nothing to compare with I will hold off any comments bad/good when it comes to power. When I get the Banks down the road I will be fair and compare at same hp levels. And as the weather gets colder here in New England their is less chance of me making a move till March. So I will let you know a few months or so via a PM what my feelings are between the 2. But to get my real question. Should I push the RoKKtech sensor back to the stock position? And I think to even make it more fair. I will order the boost fooler since I think banks pushes up the turbo pressure a bit.

The XZT is the tow box w/ a 65hp increase in power. You really can't compare it to the 6-Gun. The XZT does add some timing so you will probably need to adjust the Rokktech back some, if not all, of the way. I'd throw the Quad on first and see if you get any rattle. Remember, you can't turn the XZT off. When it's plugged in, it's on....

I know nothing firsthand about banks for dodge. I have a turbo, banks, for my 6.9. While it has given no problems, it's not much bang for the buck. I just ran my first tank with my new xzt, and it gave me 18.25 hand calculated ( filled to brim both times) I was getting 13.5-15, (Empty on all these mpg. I did also change my oil to 5-40 Rotella "synthetic". I am pleased with box, can tell it gives a fair amt of power by seat of pants feel also. However, I am going to sell it and get quad race box. Banks seems to be a good product - just overpriced. When you do your comparison please list price on both, or cpmparable boxes. Thanks and will look foward to your comparo

I have the Quad standard. According to quad the box will work nicely with the Rokk tek sensor. I have not had any issues with both together.

With the XZT I recommend keeping the Rokktech at full advance. Doing so will help lower the EGTs.

I really won't be able to do a price comparism since I did not buy Higher end Quadzilla 4 power level box. I got the quad box for 255 off ebay. I am looking at getting a Banks PDA setup. They come in around 900-1000. Plus it can be set to higher HP levels and guages built in. So my comparison will be at the 60hp level at daily driving and feel of power. And fuel economy.

I don't think you need the boost fooler with the XZT. If I'm not mistaken the XZT has it built-in.

And not to burst your bubble or anything, but I think you could have got the XZT from the DTR store for about the same price. Always check Quad prices here first.

Good luck with your tests!

You are not bursting my bubble. The DTR store has it at 299. Seems like a list price since I found it for 299 everywhere.

BigDave,

you need to call for the best price. Most of the time the listed internet price is higher than what Lary really lets it go for. Keep this in mind next time you're ready to buy something. Either way, the $255 you paid is a great deal.

$299.00 is the list price, which is also the ONLY price legitimate dealers are allowed to list them at. Yes there is a member only price if you call that is lower than what you see on the site.

if you bought one that was listed for less than $299.00 you did NOT buy it from a legitimate dealer and you may or may not have a warranty.

Why wouldn't he have a warranty, it seems like quad warranties his box no matter where anyone buys them. Just the general thought on this website.

Quad sets the minimum price we are allowed to advertise his products at, he also tries to enforce that pricing just like other manufacturers do. If the guy is selling them for that, they are not authorized to do so and it is at Quads discretion whether he decides to abort warranties on product sold by them.

Edge routinely voids warranties on product sold in that manner and Banks is now also going in that direction. Take it as a friendly warning that buying from a non authorized vendor like that might get you a bad deal in the end.
